Yes. I first bought 2 for €9,99 each, then the bundle which costed me €25,01.
I know, I know... Already way over my limit since I'm buying Logic Pro for desktop this month. Can't have everything. 🥲
I bought two, and the bundle price is now €25.01
Has anyone found an answer to the ‘is the bundle price an introduction offer too?’ question? I’ve written to Moog to ask but like, I’m guessing, many others here, I’m scared the introductory offer (if that’s what it is) will pass before I hear from them.
So annoying when developers (or Apple, whoever’s responsible) don’t indicate such things, including with an end date so potential customers can plan their finances accordingly.
Not saying this is the case for Moog, but I can think of at least one dev who shall remain unmentioned who basically told me that they specifically didn't specify an end date because they wanted people to have exactly the kind of worry you're describing so they would fomo in. I have to say, I'm not a fan of such strategies and find them very disrespectful to users.
Checking these Moogerfooger fx out finally. Have to say the sound quality is impressive.
Yes, it had certainly occurred to me that it could be a deliberate strategy. Of course, that sort of strategy can backfire: I won’t be buying them at full price knowing I’ve missed getting them much cheaper if the introduction offer suddenly ends tomorrow so…
At the top of each plug if you touch where it says cv, you get a patching area from the “back” of the pedal, with 4 knobs and 4 connections…when you touch a connection you get a list of all other mooger pedals in that project with their unique 4 digit/character code…and then you can pick what is being shared and what depth, there is also a cog on the right of the cv option with more pedal settings that you can also change. For instance the sequencer on one of the plugs is exposed and you can save I think 12 of your own. I think this could get to be quite a rabbit hole if a person wanted to go there…of course limited by cpu.
Thanks, yes, now that I've played with them a bit I understand how it works. It's actually better than midi in most cases as you have much higher resolution, pretty clever! And indeed, shit could get pretty crazy.
@Poppadocrock asked about cpu usage. On my 5th gen Pro with 2TB ram I currently have an aum session open with a 256 buffer size, 1 VAPoly16 and all 8 moogerfoogers, piping in some midi from stepbud, and it's hovering around 40%
And if i add in another channel with an instance of Hilda plus another 8 moogerfoogers after that, it only adds another 20% to the dsp, for a total of 60%. Would be curious to hear how a host that utilises multicore performs on the same ipad but don't have time to check. I think we can safely assume the dsp would be lower in cubasis 3 or logic etc
MuRF is awesome.
Bundle is at #1 in us App Store paid music apps. Congratulations @MoogMusicInc
Bundle is #5 in the Entire App Store for paid apps
I believe the bundle is, but do not have confirmation. Since all the apps are 33% off on Intro it makes sense the bundle is too. Apps will go to $15, by same logic bundle will go to $60.
Thanks, yea I had a small session with 3-4 apps plus one MF running and it stayed in the low 20’s
Watch the garageband guide video, he covers each app, and demonstrates each feature.
It’s so cool how they are all designed to work together and can modulate each other.
And the UI is nothing complex, simple yet powerful. The Phaser is nice too. The delay, so nice and warm. MuRF, wicked. And I like the filter.. all just great stuff!
Great explanation.
Thank you for the info.
🤙
Here is my video for the MoogerFooger pack.
I’ll have a deep dive into the CV option very very soon.
I hope you enjoy the video👍😊
One of the selling points for the Moog’s is the cv control and being able to use them in tandem. But yeah Koshiba is great. Same for the 2 free AudioModern apps, Perforator, and Looperator too.
Hmm I think they sound great. Maybe not quite as good as some others but for the functionality they offer, it’s still a great deal imo. Bleass’s fx are my go-to in a lot of cases.
I couldn’t resist and bought the bundle last night. I knew they were gonna be good but I’m still impressed. They sound absolutely amazing and are a ton of fun to play. Haven’t tried connecting them all with CV ports yet but that’s super cool as well.
10/10. Will probably go down as one of the highlights of the year for me along with Pianoteq and Beat Scholar.
This is a great bunch of effects plugins for sure. Can get super creative with these and sounds to my ears, pretty Moogie. Happy about these. Also 10/10 for me.
Can Koshiba be free from bpm?
I think so but I’m not 100% sure. I can test when I get home and report back later on tonight.
Thanks HotStrange.
Dervoco through murf is cool.
Might ask if it can be made midi.
The "CV" feature is the least impressive aspect of these apps to me. Pretty much all decent AU fx apps allow for interconnection. It's easy in AUM. I don't see anything novel about that in the Moog apps other than the in-app dropdown menus. What I usually look for in the Moog apps is a unique sound, and they nearly always deliver.
The only really problem with Koshiba, and all the iceworks apps actually, is that the filters don't sound that great.
