Few skills in life will be as good an asset as being able to give a genuine apology, or not even an apology, but just a genuine admission of I overreacted, I might need to rethink things etc - it’s a rare thing, so when given, it is highly valued. Fair play! It takes guts

I envy Canadians, I’ve never been there. I just assume it’s the best place on the planet. At least it's the homeland for musicians that enriched my musical affinity. 🤩 Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Arcade Fire, Cœur de pirate, … Yeah, far away from Punk Rock, haha!

And Joel Zimmerman, aka Deadmau5 !!! Really like that guy and not just his music but also his “not giving fuck and being brutally honest at all costs” style

    love for example this track..

    @ervin
... and Justin Bieber, don't be shy.

Joel has nice story with Bieber 😂

And indeed I overreacted and let myself get stuck into that muck. But if there's anything I've learned over the years, it's to own up to my mistakes instead of acting like "I'm right, you're wrong". To see the grey areas rather than get stuck in hard "black & white literal" thinking like many on the Autism spectrum do. My previous therapists have helped me with this, but of course I'm still learning, and I hope to never stop learning. Doesn't mean I won't get stuck/fixated on something negatively now and again, but I strive to always improve and learn from my mistakes. Not trying to brag but rather just to overexplain, lol.

You are right. But before that, we can do somethin'. If we have enough time to manage...

  • @jwmmakerofmusic if this is cultural appropriation, then literally all music is cultural appropriation, especially psy trance, and some more of those heady EDM genres. Fuck the haters, make a track that is even more culturally ambiguous.

Well I think I'm moving past the issues I raised yesterday (even if I raised them in a rather poor manner) to try and get back into my creative bag. :) I was wrong for the way I handled things yesterday, and I could've been more graceful about it.

But yeah, I can create what I want, where I want, when I want, and how I want. :) Why I want to I don't know, lol.

Of course mate. ADHD is rather interesting and can be fun in how it makes us think differently and hyperfocus on important tasks such as music creation...at least that is when I can wrangle in my brain. 🤪 The downside of ADHD is not wanting to waste time and energy and focus cleaning up after myself and ending up hiring a cleaning service to tidy the flat. 😂🤣 (Luckily my flat is about 500 sq ft/45 sq meters so it doesn't completely drain my wallet.)

I do love an incredible Psy Trance track. Holy sh-t, wait a minute! I think I have an idea of what I want to create next! Psy Trance! Oooo, I gotta research the genre (actually study it, not just listening casually), and find some Youtube tutorials explaining the genre.

It’s most hard electronic genre to produce, at least to my experience ..

here if you are interested, this guy has lots of high quality tutorials .. he uses desktop apps but the knowledge is mostly applicable also on ios ..

start probably with this, good kick+bass is absolute essential, if that is not how it should be, rest of track will not work too..

psytrance is extremely demanding for sound design skills, more than most of electronic genres ..

Tell me, what happens without any reason?

well.. basically all quantum processes ale completely random so there is no “reason” in terms of causality. Down deep in vacuum particles are appearing from nothingness and disappearing to nothingness

and our entire world is build on top of
quantum processes on very basic level, som it may be that actually EVERYTHING is just random. No meaning to our existence, it’s just random event.
