Hey Elliot and team. Quick pricing question. Is the current price still the intro price or the ongoing price? If the former, when does this end?
Fanks!
It's still at the preorder / intro price. I don't know how much longer and what the change will be.
Thanks Wim!
He’s been going seemingly non-stop with new features and various improvements… I bet he simply forgot to raise the price after launch!
Shhhhhhh…. Agreed. The man’s a machine!
Well... Lock, courtesy of Maschine...

Anyone using nodes and egoist…
Can you explain What is the advantages with both together?
Any video tutorial found nothing.
Thanks
It works. I don’t know what else to say. I can’t think of any advantages of EG Nodes over any other host with Egoist.
Egoist is kind of its own thing, ya know? 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve not used either as yet but watched videos so I may be wrong here, but aren’t they very different apps in terms of functionality and approach?
Which engine in nodes do you prefer?
Doesn’t matter. Piano roll would be best I guess in case you want to send notes to change patterns or something. I mean the node itself isn’t really going to be doing much is it?
I guess I don’t really understand what you’re after. To me Egoist is a self contained thing. Nodes is just something hosting it. 🤷🏻♂️
Sorry, I’m not much help here. Like I said, Egoist runs fine in nodes, I don’t know what else to say. I’m not a heavy Egoist user.
@cam, what are some features of other hosts that you with Egoist? Maybe I can tell you whether Nodes can do those things?
short question... is it possible to see the auv3 gui and the keyboard at the same time within the nodes? want to browse through synth presets without the need to switch views. maybe i missed a button somewhere but i can't it figure out.
No you cannot, but you can send in a feature request https://eg-nodes.canny.io/feature-requests
Would be amazing… The transition/morphing feature is amazing…
EG Nodes colors and node reordering...coming soon
Nice! However, em.. allow different pallet selections. One of the reasons I cringe using LP. I mean, as configurable as LP is, we are stuck with 21 colors.. yeah, its better than 16 colors, but my eyes are hurting. And even when people talk about # of colors, they usually allow different intensities right?
Maybe if im not the one suggesting this everyone will agree
..
Thanks @5k3105 ! Eventually I can increase the palette, but I want to have control on the colors...the UI is my baby you know
Yeah but I bought the app. Its just colors bro
Everyone comes with a different perspective on app dev.
Developing for a team at work, I create what it looks like they need. When they ask for changes and new features, I accommodate according to how important the changes are and how quickly it can be accomplished.
The team I am assigned to doesn’t directly pay me. I am usually hired by someone responsible for multiple teams and I am farmed out to various teams as needed.
So when I see independent devs, making their own ideas become reality in the marketplace, I am a little envious. And also understand the reason I avoid that type of work, because the risks involved.
Not to say I dont take pride in my work, because most of the designs and ways to accomplish the task are completely my own.
That said, I still cant ever imagine being so obsessed with an app i have created yet which others use, to be dogmatic about a color scheme.
I totally understand what you're talking about...that's why I choose to work on my own. I need to be creative and have fun in what I'm doing, eventuallly I can choose to say no to something I find boring.
It was a great choice
I’ve been meaning to leave a comment here for a while - just to say how fantastic EG Nodes is. Its simplicity is its strongest point. It’s the easiest I’ve ever found it just to get something musical happening (apps or hardware).
I’m a graphic designer and the UI is definitely a strong part of the immediacy, and I’d include that new subtle colour scheme in that.
(It’s almost the opposite of the mania of the visuals of Congburn Strokes, which I also love!).
thanks @pigdog237 ... I spent so much time on the UI, I'm not a designer at all, but I love working on that
@ElliottGarage I just like to chime in a say great work on nodes, using it is a joy as it's just so well designed.
I noticed on your web site some features are listed twice btw for example :
15 Chords selection
Chord inversions
It would be nice to have some options for when tapping 'Dice' button, on/off options for notes, velocity, frequency, hold etc. Use case is en existing pattern and I just want change the velocity of existing notes to give it a different feel, to change the notes but not have existing frequency/velocity values initialised again. No biggie though, I did raise a Feature request if anyone feels the same and wants to vote for it:
https://eg-nodes.canny.io/feature-requests/p/dice-options
Keep up the great work !
Very good. Also mostly my autobiography
Loners of the world, unite!
Wait a minute…
I just got an email saying that the $12.99 intro price will be ending soon. No date given.
Agreed… randomize for the probability, velocity, etc. would be nice..
From Discord: Sunday 28 januari.
I hithly recommend picking this up to anyone who hasn’t done so yet. It’s a seriously fun app and a very intuitive auv3 host!
