Very good. Please share the next 20-obvious-things-I-should-know-by-now-but-still-don't Very handy......
Huh? I must be missing something? Secret apple handshake? All I get is my wallpaper or some widgets if I do it from the right hand side. Is there a special technique?
@FPC try grabbing it by the three dots on top and then swiping down. You can then flip it right or left.
Sorry @FPC, Logic's currently only Mason-compatible...
Perhaps you've got "Split View & Slide Over" turned off in iPadOS Settings? (If you're using Stage Manager, it naturally won't work.)
Edit: probably scratch that, @lsd87 has likely hit the right nail. (Myself, I'd been kicking the tyres of Stage Manager since iPadOS 17's release, was using Logic in full screen mode, and had forgotten Stage Manager was turned on.)
Thank you. It was bloody Stage Manager
That definitely explains it…..stage manager still preferable for me though
10.8.1 just dropped for Mac Logic, a bug fix release. Presumably 1.1.1 for iPad Logic will drop soon.
Great! Thanks for the notification.
I wouldn't bank on that "soon" part since 1.1 took so long, but would be a pleasant sight
I actually kind of take it back. Updates for FC Pro and for all the OSes dropped today almost simultaneously, so now I think we maybe won’t see Logic 1.1.1 right away. Maybe all the bugs were in the Mac version 😉
Many of the ‘bugs’ fixed in the Mac version are also present in the iPad version like polyphony issues with QuickSampler, Sampler and the Alchemies….
Well, then this could be an interesting test case. That last point-point bug fix release went out on both platforms at the same time, how long will we have to wait in this case? I suppose it's also somewhere between possible and likely that they're working on a longer list of bugs on the iPad side.
Could be since there's some iPad specific issues to fix as well.
Midi Chase is one feature I'd love to see make it to the iPad, that would solve the sustain pedal issues and allow playback to start in a middle of a region without silence.
All the 'samplers'(Alchemy, Sample Alchemy, QuickSampler and Sampler) have polyphony issues (try setting QuickSampler to 1 note poly and you can still play chords), This has an effect on overall CPU usage caused by voice allocation and was fixed in the latest Mac version but is still present on the iPad...
We'll have to wait and see!
