    Did you get a chance to play with it?

    Upon loading the AUv3, got a warning that I should first open the standalone. (Hadn’t really made user content. Still, I did as was told.)
    For one thing, bass lines have disappeared entirely, from both standalone and AUv3.

    And I get repeatable crashes in AUM, if the transport is on.

    Then, there’s an issue with the bug reporting.

    I’ve been dreaming about an AUv3 version of iBassist very specifically. On desktop, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by MODO Bass 2. The very concept of having a “bassline database” is just very appealing to me, as a “failed bass player”. (I’m primarily a sax player yet I notice that I gravitate towards bass.)

    It’ll be great to send the MIDI from iBassist to other plugins in AUM (or Loopy Pro, Logic Pro, etc.). In fact, I’m noticing that the plugin sends chords through separate MIDI ports? Neat!
    Even neater, it can generate basslines from incoming chords (sent by Progressions, Scaler 2, ChordJam…). So, if I route Progressions to iBassist, turn on “Live MIDI In”, and go to the “Prog” tab at the top, I hear the bassline adapt to each incoming chord, with that chord displayed at the top of the plugin’s GUI. That’s exactly the expected behaviour.

    (Had to fiddle with settings a bit.)
    In this sense, it’s like a development over the typical “arp” model. Some other plugins do similar things but don’t have the pattern library that iBassist has.

    So… I hope the these patterns are retrievable and the crash will be an easy fix.

    (iPad Pro (12.9") M1, iPadOS 17.0.3. Rebooted after installing the iBassist update.)

    I have a little. None of the issues you’re seeing with the missing bass lines and progressions. Everything is there, the full progression and bassline library, even the “User” stuff I created long before the update.

    Same iPad too, 12.9” M1 w/1TB, though I’m still on 16.6.1

  • So very cool, I've a lot to learn to master this app but I really want to. The three(3) outputs (1 bass 2 chords) is also a welcome feature. Good job. I thought it would be an IAP so this is extremely generous thank you @LuisMartinez

    Great!
    Maybe I’ll delete and redownload, then.
    No crash either, I gather? Awesome as well!

    Great points!
    Yes, thanks, Luis!
    Hope you’ll do the same with some other apps. Might convince me to buy more of them. (Only got iBassist and Funk Drummer, so far.)

    Ugh - been waiting forever for this and it crashes in Loopy Pro whenever i change instruments. Works in AUM, though there is an audible click/pop using any instrument other than upright (tried lowering volume both in app and host)

    ipad pro m2 - ios 17

    @LuisMartinez

  • Famtastic. Well done Lluis on completing this dificult task.
    Thank you, here’s hoping you get many sales.
    Ill write another review now <3

  • Uh ... not showing up for me in any host after the update. I've run the standalone, rebooted the iPad, and even deleted and re-installed the app.

    iOS 15.7.9 iPad Air 2.

    @LuisMartinez ?

  • @LuisMartinez Great news just gave it a quick spin. Looking forward to using it in bigger setups.

  • ...and the link to the manual works again too, awesome!

  • Doesn’t show in logic

  • @LuisMartinez @wim Same for me: The AUv3 doesn‘t show up in AUM, apeMatrix or LoopyPro. First started standalone, then checked audio and midi plugin lists of the hosts. Rebooting of iPad didn‘t help. iPad Pro 10.5 / ipadOS 16.2

    Reported here, as the in-app bug report link http://lumbeat.com/news/bug-report/ still reports a wordpress configuration error.

    Not MIDI Processor, Audio Track Audio Extension, right ?
    Not showing ?

  • Opens in Audio Evolution and AUM for me. Starts and stops fine, changes tempo etc. A bit glitchy sometimes, but that could be my iPad. It’s great to finally use it without issues, and especially given it’s a free update! Thanks @LuisMartinez

    Does as an instrument not as a midi fx.

  • Working great here. iPad Air 3 on 16.7.1. In AUM chords are only sent on midi channel 1 from iBassist despite the settings in iB for chords to be sent on Ch 3 and 4
