  • Okay catching up on the thread now...as others have said the sale will go until December 6th.

The randomization on the top modules is not a bug, but rather how the plugin is set up from the beginning.

We are missing a few functionalities like MIDI learn and preset saving within Transit itself, but we figured this can be done in most if not all AUv3 hosts. Is there a reason you'd rather do these things within the plugin?

Hey all, thanks for the excitement and support. Happy to answer any questions you have!

You all knocked it out of the park with this one! Thanks to @samu and all the beta testers as well. Your work is much appreciated.

Yes, @Samu, @Gavinski and the rest of the beta team have been incredible. It's far from perfect, but we're super proud of this release. It's our most iOS friendly plugin to date! Looking forward to bringing more exciting stuff your way

  • Btw guys, here is a link to our Discord. You can find an exclusive preset pack there!

    Very nice!

  • @tristan Great plugin! I love the way that workflow has been carefully designed for ease of use, live performance and generating new ideas.

Wondering if the module set is fixed for v1 or if any others might be added? What I'm missing is some kind of buffer/slicer/ratchet effect to chop up audio, as might be found in SB Turnado or Effectrix?

Also, wondering if there might ever be in-app modulation? Perhaps in v2?

    Cheers
    Richard

Yes Tristan, I'm glad @gusgranite pointed that out to me about the randomiser, I think that that implementation will trip a fair few people up bte! Anyway, now they know hopefully, on reading this.

About preset saving in the plugin, people often like that because they use different hosts and they want to maybe save presets inside the app itself because then they can use their presets in all hosts. For me it's not really a biggie as I only use AUM but really every app should have its own preset system.

Midi learn I am also personally OK with using AUM's own midi modulation assignment system, I guess it is slightly more time consuming though than having midi learn inside the app itself? Not sure - like I say, I tend to just use AUM to do that.

Undo and redo buttons are very handy to have when an app has a randomiser btw - often ppl randomize and decide too late that they liked something before they have already pressed randomize again and lost what they were working on.

Congrats on the release, this is a very useful plugin.

@tristan id find it handy to be able to favourite a preset. Using it live it would be very handy to have a shortlist that I want to use during performance.

Great release by the way I’m really enjoying using it in my live improv sessions.

    +1 for favorites.

  • Interesting review of the desktop version which doesn’t just focus on its use for transitions.

@tristan I really wanna be able to do presets within the app as well as export etc. The ML, Quick Guide and Undo(!?) should be there as well in my humble opinion.
Cool app it is, no doubt.🤘🏻

  • I'd like Midi learn because it's just so easy and self-explanatory. I appreciate that these things can be done in other ways, but I still really struggle to understand them.

  • I have and enjoy this on desktop. I use it for more than just transitions, it's a good multi-effect in its own right. I might just pick up this iOS version today.

  • @tristan thank you for supporting iPhone 👏

  • Gotta love that interface.

Yeah a good one indeed and we learn that the modules should have presets too, they do not @tristan (sorry for the multi callout!!😳)

I agree but it's a bit fiddely to get hold of the rings to go from positive to negative (green to pink) sometimes.

I only have the latest beta and the module presets are there...

Good for you😃, in the bought version they are not - checked both AUV3 and standalone🫤

Maybe they messed up and uploaded the wrong build to the AppStore?
Maybe @tristan should know something about this...

Yeah that might be a possible I guess, I did tag him on it already. Let's just hope it get's fixed, it's a real nice feature.

It would be if we could also save & delete presets and module presets as well as rename and export user preset banks :sunglasses:

For now we'll have to rely saving presets in the hosts we use...

  • I got a freeze when trying to save a preset in the delay module, can somebody else test this please. I had two copies in AUM and both became dead to touch @tristan (don't hate me 😔)

I have to admit that my focus during beta was primarily touch-usability and visibility and once the module magnifying glass got in there I could start digging into the modules (If I can't see sh*t I can't use it, it's as simple as that) and boom they go and release it... (The beta I have doesn't even allow saving module presets so they definitely released the wrong build to the AppStore).

Well, here we have the option to save module presets so that sounds like a later build (never released to beta?) if you don't have it or am I misunderstanding something?

Save was present in one beta and removed in a later one due to various issues but that's another story...

Ah I see. I just realised I have the demo for desktop and every subject we have touched works like a charm, and, all the menu functions missing in this one are where they should be😂 (there's no undo though, not sure where @Gavinski picked that up, would be nice though)

For me undo is more or less essential when dealing with a randomize feature, but that's me :sunglasses:

I want Undo/Redo everywhere all the time, sadly on musical apps (fx/instruments) they are almost always missing. Not sure why this is but it is strange and sad/bad.

Great! Guess you guys got a handful to deal with, hope you sort it out soon.

The missing module presets was a bug, it will be fixed in an update that should be out later today. It's under review.
