    My immediate thought too haha

YouTube description says it’s him! Home Movies is one of my favorite shows.

Grateful for the heads up on that! It was making me nuts.
Going to have to pull those dvd’s out. Dr Katz is awesome too.
Mariana is pretty awesome as well btw.

Definitely! I miss that era of early/mid 90s-early 00s cartoons. So many great shows. Daria, the Oblongs, Mission Hill, Beavis and Butthead, etc

Edit: and yes Mariana is very awesome.

Favorite already huh? Honestly could see it becoming mine as well. Still have a lot of love for Lowtone, Trooper, Model D, and Agonizer though. Bassalicious isn’t half bad either.

  • Kind of cheeky of them to drop this in December honestly. Bought it though, of course.

  • Loving this synth! I feel like this is my new fav bass synth

Hey, does this video remind you of anything? 😉🤐

    A load of tripe...?

I'm sure the synth is good though.

Okay, just spent a bit of time fiddling, and so far I love it. I think this might be the Moog soft synth I’ve been waiting for. Super direct and easy to manipulate but crazy deep. Great presets, and I love the little touch where it can play a little sequence while you audition sounds.

And the sequence extends when demoing the IAPs so you can actually hear it in a musical context.

  • All the IAP presets can be previewed too using the play button which is a nice touch.

Safe bet choice after the change in ownership. Moog is bass. If they can push the envelope for bass synths, especially on both iOS and Mac, this is awesome! I hope it’s better sounding than Model 15 and D, cause if not this is not an evolution of the game. I feel that Moog needs to be that right now after the takeover. Don’t be a cash grab company, please.

Give people something they want and make a profit doing it. I think that's a good enough reason to be in business.

Not criticising. Just saying it better be as good as one would expect of Moog

I like this one a LOT. In fact, much more than Model D. Lot more modulation posibilities, really love how they implemented mod matrix. Sound is huge, fat. :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Small criticism: Filter on high resonance still has a bit of nasty aliasing noise like Model D .. not that much but still there .. wondering when Mood devs discover that there is such thing as "oversampling" ...

  • Anyone experiencing Mariana being a massive CPU hog? If I add an instance to AUM, DSP goes up to 57% doing nothing.

Yes, 31-34% only for existing, no sound active. 45% when switching to another patch.
    M2 iPad Pro.

@jebni Managed to run up to 4 x Mariana Bass Synths being sequenced inside Beta version EG Nodes.

2 small glitches whilst drawing in on sequencer after I stopped drawing was fine so pretty efficient in that host. iPad M1 Pro.

Just wish more hosts supported multi-core processing :sunglasses:

  • Not supporting moog after what they did

  • Just kidding I bought it immediately because I’m an idiot and I always need more bass 🥴

What’s just happened?! 😳 It’s complete madness, this was the missing link for all MogerFoggers. They work beautifully with each other. With so many modulation options, it’s total overkill for simple bass lines, haha! I love it! 🤩

I just tested it out by jamming along with ‘rolling an scratchin’ by daft punk and I was able to obtain obscene levels of screaming madness, especially with some following saturation, the freqbox, and ring mod moogerfoogers

I’m glad that the possibilities of iOS music are being taken so much more seriously nowadays, this is actually amazing for performance based electronic music

  • Huge….could be Juce based because it does that molasses screen sizing in logic pro…but all is forgiven with that sound

  • But I’ve only just bought TB Lowtone… oh well I couldn’t not buy a new Moog synth could I!?

Love it so far, sounds amazing. Doesn’t want to play with my Akai Bluetooth controller in stand alone though. It connects just fine but just doesn’t make a sound. On screen keyboard still works. No biggie, just wanted some sexy Moog, pretend hardware fun!

Oooo it works in tandem with the Foogers?!

I bought immediately of course 😂 Moog is mostly an instabuy for me.

Yeah! Now I want that feature for all other Moog synths. Best of all, it’s so easy to make all connections. And MogerFoggers have a better purpose. 😅

Every Mariana can modulate another Mariana, or one can modulate all of them. You can use the envelope from 101S to cut off filters not only on the designated track but on all other Marianas too. It's not that you can’t do this in dRambo already or with other tools in the rest of the hosts, but this one is so easy and quick, and you can also save it with the patch. The only drawback is that they consume too much CPU power.

    It’s madness! 😂

  • I have Dagger and so is it really necessary another bass synth? Also Subscription can give some serious low tones and free. Why would one convince me to buy this?

Was messing around a bit earlier. Things can get truly insane once you start pushing. Definitely make sure to throw a limiter at the end of the chain though.

Absolutely. I can see the whole set of them becoming some of my most used apps easily.

Even if it's JUCE based developers can 'fix' the issue by allowing one to horizontally zoom the plug-in to full width of the hosts plug-in view and pan/scroll the view up/down to keep things, fonts etc. at usable sizes without having to use a magnifying glass...

Suggestion to a solution that might work is to 'tap' on the outside area for full horizontal zoom of the plug-in view and double tap on the wooden edges to go pack to the condensed view...

I hope this is something @MoogMusicInc will consider adding as a 'postage-stamp sized' plug-in view is practically unusable.

    Cheers!

  • Definitely for me this with the foogers bundle are the releases of the year. Sounds fantastic :)
