Looks like the Gadget versions of their standalone synths haven’t gotten the AU treatment.

Do you have gadget installed and a standalone synth?

I just bought iMS20, but do not have gadget installed, because I don't have enough storage. I can't use iMS20 as an Auv3, but was kinda hoping it would show up, if I install gadget, if that's not the case I would get a refund.

There seems to be a sale by the way, if I'm not mistaken it usually costs 30 Euros here, and I got it for 18.

Here are the screenshots of the available Gadgets. Lexington (ARP Odyssey), Montpellier (MonoPoly), Memphis (MS-20), Pompei (Polysix), Milpitas (Wavestation) and Darwin (M1) are not on the list. This is after a restart btw.

  • So basically OG apps are not AU, which means old code or harder to migrate.

Thanks, what a pity. I hope that's still to come.

  • Hopefully, they will roll out AUv3 of the standalones like OdysseI and MonoPoly and ims-20. Fingers-crossed.

This will be fun in EG Nodes and Drambo.

Yes. I just had a go in Drambo. And parameters are there for the modulation.
Same with EG Nodes. Parameters exposed.

Woah. All on my meager iPhone SE2.

So are these individual gadget AUs or all gadget as an AU?

    Individual Gadgets

  • Same in logic no Darwin either. Wait a couple I’m sure they would have to role out new apps with the excite or anger there is to come by no allowing them.

Taipei is gonna be a game changer in MIDI sequencing there!

Well, turns out Taipei is nowhere to be found in the AU list, either in audio or midi controllers plugins..

actually for me works great in cubasis but logic pro no way…it’s a crashfest for most of them, and none allow MIDI out…but in Cubasis so far everything works. me thinks they only tested in Cubasis

edit: works great in Garageband including MIDI out…so they probably tested there and assumed that covered Logic

  • It would not bother me at all if someone posted Sydney screenshots.

  • @Samu you should be all over this! This day is been long time waiting. Hail Korg

Oh God..:and I thought I was done buying synths lol

Wonder what this means for desktop now.

Not much because the gadgets had been available on Win and Mac as separate plugins since quite some time.

Stockholm in other iOS DAWs is exciting news! 🌞

I rather think that people will be more likely to pay for the apps in AUv3 form, me included.

    +1

  • What a day! I'm going to love having these to use in other hosts. I hope they end up doing the standalone apps too.

Really need better icons though. 😂
I'm gonna end up having to open Gadget over and over just to figure out what gadget I'm looking for.

  • App Store still lists as KORG Gadget 2 - assuming this is an oversight, as the version history shows it updated within last 24 hours?

I simply redownloaded Korg Gadget 2 and on my homescreen it says Gadget 3

  • Woah didn’t see this one coming..

Kinda a bummer that Darwin, odysee, polysix, monopoly, and few more didn’t make it as plug ins, but still super happy!

I like how they improved the actual gadget app, the play screen is great, and the ifx are redone much much better!!!!

I don’t mind working in gadget until it is stable in Logic Pro…cuz as of right now it’s not too great… it’s a tad crashy.

Let’s also hope for an AUV3 gadget to host AUv3 inside gadget?

    Thank you Korg!

Time to start buying Korg IAPs again...

  • Does anyone know how to get Darwin on phone? I’ve had no success following the side load thing

  • edited January 11

Can actually loop the whole beat inside gadget now. That’s big for me

  • Santa Ana is the gadget I didn't know I needed. 😳 I popped that, Phoenix, Kingston and Chicago into the tapestry of sound I'm making in NS2, and good god. This Pop instrumental is coming along incredibly amazing.

So is there a “restore purchases” button somewhere?

I’m not a big fan of how it lists all of the available AU gadgets, including the ones I haven’t purchased.

  • holly what? a second christmas this year?

I think you do it on a "gadget by gadget" basis - there isn't a single button to restore all of them.

  • No effin way 😳🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

  • I’m going to cry 😭 this is amazing
