if only the gadgets I actually use were included

  • That’s brilliant, 2024 looking better already for Korg being back in the room…..hope they have some of their other recent synths in the pipeline also :)

The gadgets always made sense as AUs with their small gui sizes…

They would need to update the standalone apps to get the main ones as so fingers crossed that’s next too…

  • Hell yeah! I’ve been holding so long on buying module packs, waiting for a damn major update
It’s not perfect but at least the wheels are turning again
Got me inspired to get back into the OG (for me) iPad music app

Here are the screenshots of the available Gadgets. Lexington (ARP Odyssey), Montpellier (MonoPoly), Memphis (MS-20), Pompei (Polysix), Milpitas (Wavestation) and Darwin (M1) are not on the list. This is after a restart btw.

So…the best ones. Sad. I was excited there for a second.

  • No Zurich either yet, was hoping that might be included which could have been useful

  • This is awesome. Keeping optimistic that the other IAA apps will make it to AU eventually.

  • As expected, they are all very light on cpu too.

So basically OG apps are not AU, which means old code or harder to migrate.

I rather think that people will be more likely to pay for the apps in AUv3 form, me included.

Yeah I would think that they would plan to update the standalone apps then you get a full AU and a gadget version hopefully, otherwise people less inclined to buy those apps.

See that end bit, “please wait until apps are supported” !? It’s coming

  • Awesome! Really cool but there are a few missing, I wonder if they (the missing) will get individual Auv3 now when Korg put the boat in the water. Hope so!

Wait a tick! They actually said the other apps will support AUv3?! Maybe that's why Darwin and Pompeii aren't available on iPhone's Gadget yet. They could be making them universal. Here's hoping.

My dream is iM1 and iWavestation as Audio Units so that’s actually huge for me. Good on Korg for making this happen.

  • I have told She Who Must Be Obeyed that I have to buy these new thingies because this Korg is a small yet innovative developer and it is up to us to support them etc.

  • I just yelled out loud saying I never thought I’d see this day! I’ve dreamed of this for years!

Update notes and sale info. App is 50% off IAPs on sale too!

AUv3 support?!? 😳 Holy fucking shit, and I don't normally cuss uncensored in public! And new IFX as well to play with. I'm about to install on my iPhone.

    Dream come true!

  • Love to hear some info, opinions on Santa Ana and Sydney the 2 new gadgets on sale for $9.99 each.

  • Cleverly chosen city for Sant(a)Ana.

  • Guess I’ll have to buy those 2 new gadgets
I just bought a few new apps too…,oh well

Love the No PreHype release style from Korg !

Santa Ana is already in my upcoming Pop song. I've been wishing for an easy way to create driving guitar rhythms like this on iOS for a while (without having to resort to Splice for loops with predetermined chord progressions). Sounds amazing.

I'll have a muck about with Sydney in the next production.

You have to go into gadget and restore each IAP individually before you can use as an AU.

Update only had to restore Gladstone.

It is 4am in the UK. Somebody phone Doug and wake him up and get him out of bed to do a video of the new Gadgets

Ahem, that is if @thesoundtestroom can buy them. If not, I can treat him on Saturday. ☺️

  • I was hoping the smart Drummer feature would be available in the drum/sample apps as an AU, but Im so excited about this I don’t even care. Literally changed my shitty day to one of joy, excitement and possibility! Thanks Korg!

  • Sydney Demo by DMT

  • I’ve just loaded up over 25 gadgets in one AUM session! Holy freaking crap.

Well those are a bit different since you have to buy the standalone app to get access to the gadget. I have to believe that those are on their road map, after this great news. I just added over 30 instruments to my AU Arsenal!
