Stop playing. I’m in the way to the app store!!! Or is this an early April fools joke?

    Nope it’s REAL!

Yes!!! Been waiting years for this :)

    Hopefully iMS20 is next

  • Thank you Korg!

  • And iPhone is now supported for iM1?! F--k to the hell yeah! Holy shit! 🤯

  • There’s now an iPHONE version too! It looks like $29.99 on the USA App Store, but if you already own the iPad version it is a FREE download.

  • Nice! Waiting for the others now. Odyssey, Wavestation, Polysix, let's go!

  • And now Darwin is installed on iPhone Gadget. I can live without the other external iPad-only gadget apps for now. Darwin was what I was missing on iPhone.

  • Oh cool! I’ve been hoping for this. Love the iM1.

  • It's an Easter miracle... LOL

  • Any chance this unit was heard much on rave/hardcore tracks? I always wondered about them fake sounding sped up piano stabs.

Yep, used by just about everybody - you can recreate whole slabs of the 90s dance scene with this one synth, and 'that' piano sound was (is, really) one of its most iconic

  • Thanks for clarifying! @Loups

This covers the general idea - and gets that classic piano in there. Then the rave and hardcore acts (with no money) would just sample the house acts (with producers who could afford M1s), and that sped-up too-bright piano was everywhere.

  • 👀

  • Love it!

  • For those who don't have iM1 yet but do have Gadget - the Marseille gadget AUv3 has the M1 piano and M1 organ sounds already. Instant 90s House lol.

My usage of iM1 is different - looking for the classic pads and special ROM sounds to use in Gadget on iPhone via Darwin. Why in Gadget you may ask? Because I recently realised Gadget's scenes can each have their own bpm and time signature, which is perfect for coming up with something that feels like Prog. 😂

  • Such a great and unexpected surprise! I am hoping Korg has similar plans for their other classic synths (ARP ODYSSEi, etc.).

  • Just noticed a new Module sound pack was also released. Will be getting that sound pack soon!

They confirmed as much along with the Gadget AU update - but no deadlines, just stealth drops like this one. Now waiting patiently for Odyssei and iMono/Poly myself...

I love the Memphis gadget. Def would be stoked if they ported that over to auv3.

Def in love with the Im1 sounds myself. No need to jump around different gadgets. Has pretty much every sound in this gadget and its the full im1.

The sounds from korg and beathawk inside Logic Pro for iPad with their patches is mostly all I need.

Korg apps and IAPs now on sale until April 15.

  • Great News iM1 Is Updated of iPad to AUv3 But For The IPhone You Need To Buy it It Not Universal
I’ll wait for a Sale The price it’s a Little spicy
Anyway Thank You Korg looking Forward For The IWavestation release

  • Nice. My favorite Korg app for iPad.

  • There are a few Korg synths that I’ve always thought I’d buy in a second if only they included an AUv3. I guess I’ll be buying them all over the next year or so! Glad to see Korg re-committing to iOS and iPadOS.

You won’t be charged. It’ll look like you will be but in the end it’ll realize you already paid.

  • Whoa major whoa

  • Ooh nice little surprise!

According to the app store, it is universal. I think what you are seeing is a longtime app store issue that doesn't show an app as owned on the iphone if it went universal after you purchased.

  • Ok, give us iWavestation as AUv3 next, please...

  • Niiice! I was actually in doubt if I owned it but I do! (haven’t used it ages, apparently, but now I’ll give it a new spin)
