  • Loving this synth - had it forever but only really getting to know it now. Tons of fun with those old sounds, what a great era for music!

  • Does modulating parameters in Drambo work for this? It's broken in other Korg apps.

I just tried with qn LFO modulating filter cutoff. It works sound-wise, but the knob in the synth doesn't animate.

Bought it and played around with it for an hour or so tonight after hooking it up to my mixer so I could crank the volume up. Definitely a trip back to the 90s and memories of being in clubs, warehouses and fields. Good times.

    👍👍😎😎🕺🕺

IM1? That's the less anticipated from all the list of Monopoly s and ARP2600. Don't want to complain. Just straight facts :)

  • Nice update, but I doubt I’ll use it much. Is is just me? So many of the presets sound so similar to each other. I used a hardware M1 in college, but never quite clicked with it (tiny screen & menu diving). I bought the IAPs as a way of supporting Korg’s iOS efforts, and like others have stated, I hope they make many more of their synth apps AUv3.

  • I don't really like most of iM1 sounds but can't wait to use my crazy fx apps with the synth - maybe I will like it :)

There’s now an iPHONE version too! It looks like $29.99 on the USA App Store, but if you already own the iPad version it is a FREE download.

is this accurate? i own the ipad version, but if i look at the app store it says $14.99

You won’t get charged. If you go back a page or two on this thread you’ll find some discussion about it

In what way is modulating parameters broken in Korg apps?

  • I probably shouldn’t admit this here, but I’ve always stayed clear of any im1 threads thinking it had to do with the newer and faster ipads. Watching this grow ultimately made me come and now I can’t stop playing with it.

When you learn a parameter in Drambo and assign a modulator, the actual knob starts moving as well, and the value will chaotically drift all over the place.

  • I always loved the M1. Our band couldn't afford one so we had yo settle with a used Roland D20. Loved that old synth too! But then the Korg Trinity V3 came out and that was the ultimate! Drooled and drooled for years until I was able to buy a used one. Never looked back! Still own that silver beautiful beast!

  • The knobs are extremely sensitive in Logic pro. But hey, it seems to work at least unlike some of the gadgets. And the“flick trick“ still works for fine adjustments.

    Never heard about Korg Trinity.
    Is there an App too?

Hmmm… Is that only some irony from mr Tja?

If not, Korg Trinity series is legendary…

This is hilarious took me a while to get it 😂

  • You didn't cause any problems. Apple did with their ridiculous way of handling this in the App Store. The concern comes up every time an app is made available for another platform after one has purchased it on a different one.
You asking and receiving the answer will save others who read this the worry. 👍🏼

    Thank You @wim

No, I have zero idea about hardware synths, that's a fact.
But if it's a good hardware, I always like to check out similar Apps!

Korg Triton Is Interesting it’s an app for Mac And PC On The Module Pro App You Have Some Triton Sounds To Check For 7 Days Free

    Anyway ...

If anyone reading this who owns iM1 on the iPad is spooked at the appearance they will be charged again, you won't as long as you're using the same Apple ID on both devices.

Causes and blame are irrelevant. It is what it is and has been so for years. The question will continue to come up every. single. time.

I was like "Fifteen quid? Whatever, I'll purchase it again." Then I got the "free download since you already own it" message. Lol. Didn't get spooked here. ;)

  • All my Drambo songs with multiple Korg M1 tracks are failing to recall the saved m1 preset on each track. (Reverting to default: Universe preset) .. I can’t wait till this is fixed, as it’ll end up being one of my most used instruments once it functions properly.
    Amazing synth!

You have to double-tap the preset in iM1 to actually load it, after that it will recall properly.

No worries. I made the same miss-take and assumed something was wrong with iM1 and session restore...
...when iWaveStation AUv3 eventually drops I suspect it'll behave in the same way :sunglasses:
(The preset management in both iM1 & iWaveStation takes some time to get used to).

similarly there’s dodgyness with presets (on eg odyssey and a few others) between standalone and gadget and across more than one device
