  • Yep… Amanita muscaria just going slightly over

  • I love these tall shots where you get to slowly scroll to some surprise at the end, they're very well suited for this medium (a browser) and should maybe have a website of their own(?).

    I thought that a while back too, could be the new Instagram, surprisagraphs😅

    Though I’m veering mostly towards the abstract…

    Oh, you can do bokeh?!?! Or does it come naturally when you shot up close?

  • Had to Google bokeh 🤔 Just a natural function of the depth of field on this one , taken with an iPad.

  • @GeoTony, @Krupa, @wim, @lasselu, great images, but I’m sorry, dog is the clear winner! ❤️😅

  • Tried to see the comet last night but this cloud was covering the relevant zone..

    Oh, this is pure fantasy! Magnificent! 🤩
    BTW, I can’t see the clear sky from the 17th. I will completely dodge the comet.

    Ahh cheers, I’m pretty pleased with it too, a better grade exists but I had to use this one as it was smaller… and gutted, and I’ve only just recovered from a week or so virus thing so may have missed it too…

  • Love those last two @Krupa 👌
    Another one to show I’m a fun guy 🍄

  • He’s got a great hat @GeoTony 👏

  • I am enjoying the app very much as well as the great shots on here.

  • Where are those canal shots @lsdphoto ? Kinda looks like Hertfordshire…

  • At the height of summer you can hardly spot the sky here, at this passage close to and on, my way home.

    To save space on the Michael server and to make photos load quickly, I’m doing this:

    Quick Actions->Convert Image

    Image Size->Large

Ten times reduction in size, quality is more than enough for our viewing pleasure.

    Edit: macOS is used.

    Sorry, what is "Quick Actions" exactly?

    Upload pictures are NOW impossible...... Whats going on?

  • I think one thing to keep in mind is that XP4N does a lot of heavy lo fi processing that will likely obscure the main differences between most of the newer iPhones when it comes to photos. It's more visible when you're using the standard camera app for sure. Coming from the 15 Pro to the 16 Pro now, it's definitely not a huge difference. I notice it mainly in how much quicker the camera responds on the 16. The whole Camera Control button thing is largely a moot point, I think Apple really fumbled on that and made it too fiddly. Most people I know with the 16 have disabled the ability to use the slide and half press functionality and use it only to launch the camera app and as a basic shutter. Works great for that, and means I can use the other assignable button to launch XP4N, which I like a lot.

    Going from the 11 Pro to the 16 Pro will be a HUGE difference IMO, mainly because you get the 48MP sensor on the 16 and can shoot RAW which opens up a lot of processing possibilities. The newer sensor gives you WAY more detail, it's probably one of the bigger updates ever on the iPhone cameras IMO. Conversely, the new 48MP sensor on the wide angle I think is a bit of step backwards compared to the 15 pro. Loss of detail on the edges of the frame, not very good in low light, it's definitely nowhere near of the upgrade that jump in resolution was on the main camera.

    Anyway, TLDR, yes going from an 11 Pro to a 16Pro will give you a very noticeable increase in camera quality. IMVHO. Happy to answer any questions too.
