This curved wall is so out of this world. Like H.R. Giger designed it. Fantastic!

  • And @skiphunt that vertical wall of glass is stunning ♥

    Agree, it’s like a monumental hive. 🤩

    Wow, awesome shot!

  • We don’t get much fog where I live in the high desert, happily massive wildfire smoke is the next best thing while I cross my fingers my house doesn’t burn down.

However, since the update this morning I’ve been having a lot of issues with the UI of the app getting extremely laggy on my iPhone 15 pro. The film selector switch takes many presses to get it to actually change to a new film type, and the volume buttons will stop working unless I quit the app and relaunch it. Also, I vote no on the level indicator, the best part of this app is how simple it is IMVHO.

Hmmm strange. I also have an iPhone 15 Pro as my main device and I haven’t seen anything like that.

Let me know if you see a pattern in when it occurs. Could it perhaps be the GPS updates?

Wow the outside shots through this app look absolutely spectacular. Love the colours , lighting and framing. This unfortunately means that I am probably going to have to transition to an iPhone at some point soon. Carrying round a large ipad outside is way too awkward.

    A $0.99 app inspiring a $900 phone purchase. 😎

Apple paid the developer nothing and even get him to pay $99 per year to sell it. (And they even made $0.15 on the sale.)
If anyone doesn't think Apple is insanely brilliant, they're crazy.

  • I have the location aspect turned off in Xp4N. I'll keep an eye out and see if I can figure out what's causing it.

  • Is the Volume-Up button/shutter release no longer available??? Nothing in the app's Settings page. Whereas it WAS working before, I am now unable to get a response from either BT grips. Very frustrating!

Ha yes indeed Wim. Looking at their pricing structure for upgrading storage and memory did give me serious pause for thought. I still took the plunge in buying an ipad. Never had an apple product other than a tv subscription ,and I am very much aware of how much apple have had and the potential to have.

Maybe the way I would frame it is that a £0.99 app is inspiring so much creativity.

You go into business for yourself and it's a calculated risk. No one is being forced to create, sell or buy apps... or iPhones, for that matter. With any luck, and based on the popularity of @brambos app here, I hope he makes $1 million in sales on this one so he can be better positioned to make more apps.

    Lighten up. 😂
You don't need to read an anti free market economics commentary into every lighthearted post. Even if it mentions Apple.

It should just work, it was never a setting. They are enabled as soon as the app enters the foreground and disabled whenever the app is moved to the background again.

I don't know how these BT grips work, so I can't try to reproduce.

Sorry that this 99 cent app is frustrating you.

If I wanted to make serious money off of this, I wouldn't have priced it €0.99. After Apple and Taxes I get to keep ~30 cents of every sale, so it'll be a while before this amounts to anything like a source of income ;)

Honestly, I think you should bump up the price some now… especially with all the great updates. It’s become my favorite camera app on iPhone

Make it $901.99 and include a free iPhone 16. You'll double your current profit margin.

Thanks, that's awesome to hear. And in a way not surprising; the original XPan was a rangefinder camera, which are traditionally the favorite pick for documentary photographers and photojournalists. That fits your style!

    .

  • I definitely think this app is worth way more than $0.99.

Also the volume up button has stopped working for me, it was working before the latest update.

    From this morning's walk:

  • The panoramic format and the film looks are what makes this app so compelling, I really love it.

Maybe add some more film looks via IAP? I would really like some more black and white films, some more tungsten ones, and maybe even Velvia if it doesn't look too cheesy :)

Hmmm.. i'm stumped... it's working on all my devices. Lemme trawl the interwebs to see if anyone else has had this happening.

It's intermittent, restarting the app fixed it in my case.
