That’s just 1-5-b7, you can get it from minor by just omitting the extra notes. I don’t think 3 notes counts as a scale, though, but what do I know
Also the OCD in me counts that as a B flat, all scales need one and one only of each note, and I’m pretty sure there’s an A implied on that scale
@amatheu you rock man.
Sweet looking UI!
Nice one!
It was a request to add the Bassline scale from Pure acid, which only plays semitones 7, 3, 2
I know it isn't a proper scale, but it certainly sounds quite groovy, when selected, and randomized!
Love the glitchy stuff. Give me that sweet, that nasty, that glitch stuff, lol.
Always too late for the beta.
Now you miss all the glitchy brains😆
@matheu…pleeeease update Glitchbreaks. It is my my favorite app of all time and is, ironically, super glitchy now.
Thank u Sir.
Hmm can you describe the issues? I know the app is really old, released in 2012, but I did release an update to fix things last year, I just wasn't aware about specific issues.
Can you DM me some info on the issues, and once I release GlitchStep I can look at some maintenance for it, before I start working on GlitchBreaks 2
@amatheu this thing is FUN
Thank you!
The beta is going really well, great group of testers.
I appreciate the work you are putting in to test this app.
You’re very welcome, it’s a pleasure to test - great fun. Now ahem! You mentioned Glitchbreaks 2. Surely you can’t just casually bring that up without fleshing it out a little…. we’re all in this together 😀👍
Looking forward to this and Glitchbreaks 2, for sure. I love Glitchbreaks but an update would still be very welcome.
Glitch Step is a very special app for me personally. The UI is gorgeous, intuitive, and the features as it stands has made it my new favorite sequencer. I’ve been running multiple instances and very pleased with the polymeter/polyrythm capabilities in its current state, and the dev rocks!
For those that do not have it…. glitch core is one of my most used audio effects, and another clear banger by @amatheu who has only greater things to come!
I appreciate the kind words, now back to grind for me as I keep heading towards v1.
Will Glitch Step allow to configure the 16 steps via MIDI? I am thinking about using controllers like Behringer X-Touch mini or Korg NanoKontrol 2.
@amatheu Have you considered setting a custom scale (toggle keys on a 1-octave keyboard)?
I find this a lot faster and more intuitive than scrolling trough a limited list of scales.
Yes, I am aiming for every control in GlitchStep to be controllable via an AU Parameter where it makes sense.
I have user defined scales on my list, and yes when implementing an editor I planned on doing a 1 octave keyboard with toggles for each key. I am just not sure if this will be live day one, but definitely on the roadmap.
Perfect.
Excellent, thank you!
GlitchStep is almost done, we are nearing the end of the beta. Here is a quick teaser jam video to check out.

Congrats on getting it there. Sounds great and Looks awesome as well. Looking forward to the release.
Is there a discord for this?
Testing the app today and its quite amazing. Super intuitive and fun. But def looking at feedback and what others are saying
Yes there is - it’s closed for testers only. There should be an invitation to join in your emails? I can’t understand how you can be testing it for at this stage (it’s due for release in the not to distant future) yet don’t know about the Discord. How long have you been testing for & where have you been? 😅
Haha I’ve just been over here testing it all alone the whole time man 🤣
I’ve not seen a discord invite in my email tho
I think when @amatheu sees this he will contact you - you missed all the fun 😻
btw - apologies - I should have mentioned - he’s been at the edge of the storm in Florida - his electricity & internet is down so it may take several days. He is okay though thankfully and the worst is over.
Yah! Much bigger problems for him atm! Can you send the discord link!???
