  • Do anyone know the reason why minimum iOS is 17.2? I was quite surprised that it wouldn't install on my iPhone X (16.7 is all that device goes up to).

I am wondering about the same. GlitchCore even runs on my old Air2 with iOS 12.

  • Aaaaand… purchased. This is going to be fun.

  • Can Glitchstep recieve external midi-clock in standalone mode?

GlitchStep does not currently have a standalone mode, it is AUv3 only. It relies on the host for sync.

With GlitchStep I used newer APIs and SwiftUI as it was a brand new app, I stuck with Latest minus 1.

I no longer have test devices below 17, and because it is an AUv3 plugin I can't test it in a simulator. I could attempt dropping the iOS version down to see if it builds, and if it does would have no way to test it. But if all aligned and it would worked would you be will to test it on your device via testflight?

Congratulations @amatheu. Any chance of a hint as to how long the intro offer will be on for? Cheers.

HI there, the intro pricing will end on 11/11 when it will jump to regular pricing of $9.99

Understand. I would be willing to test on iOS 12, otherwise all is on iOS 17.x here.
And is there any chance to get the knobs less sensitive? I love this sequencer but my big hands struggle with selecting notes. I would suggest Loopy Pro like behaviour: The more you move to the side of a knob, the less sensitive (larger the slide area) becomes.

I raised the sensitivity in an attempt to make it feel smoother. I am already thinking about a better solution for selecting notes, as I think selecting the values for the other settings works just fine.

In the meantime one tip that you can use, if you want to copy a note from one knob to another you can long press the one you want to copy, and it will set that as your default note, then you can double tap where you would like to copy it to. But know that I am working on making it better in a future update.

Oh iOS 12 I don't think that one would be supported by SwiftUI at all so would be a no go, I think the lowest I would try would be 16

Personally I would be happy if the knobs would use the same sensitivity that is used for gate etc. for the notes. That raised sensitivity for notes makes my workflow much harder. And thanks for the tip about copying notes. Apart from this you created a great UI.

I'd be happy to test on iOS 16.7 - I'll ping over my email address for test flight.

Actually the knobs now use the same sensitivity as Gates / Vel / Prob but because there are fewer notes especially when you have a scale set, it feels faster. I had the sensitivity down, but it started to feel sluggish. I am tweaking it, and will be working on a better way.

  • FYI 1.0.1 just got approved and should be available soon in the appstore This has a fix for the pattern GR issue I mentioned.

From a QUICK glance: pattern, glitch, slice, and global parameters. Pretty much all of them.

I went pretty crazy with exposing AU Parameters there are 160+ exposed parameters
I split them into categories, here is a quick glimpse from when I was organizing them.
The ones that say 0-15 are 16 params each

Sorry, having trouble keeping up today. Just an FYI the MacOS version is still waiting for review. I think what you found was the one that runs as an iPad app on the Mac. Once it gets approved you should see a Mac version to download. From my experience with it in Drambo on Mac it didn't crash when I was using it, and if it still does once the mac version is released I will investigate and see what I can do to fix it.

After 10 minutes…this is great. Very easy to use but powerful, with musical and interesting results

Ha. You are welcome. I added it to the App Store (with the typo corrected)

  • Hi all. Can we feed audio in and mess with it?

This is a midi sequencer, no audio. But I do have another app called GlitchCore, which is an AUv3 audio effect, that you can do exactly that with.

  • @amatheu
    Thanks and good luck.
