  • I created a new session video in Logic Pro macOS thought you might be interested in checking it out.

  • (Rant) Worked with dozens of developers over the years, nobody pumps out revisions faster than @Mathieu_ dude is an absolute beast- was a total privilege to watch the app go from dope idea to perfect implementation. There’s a few apps that I stand on, and two of them are @Mathieu_ (glitch core/glitchstep) If you do any kind of polyrhythm
    Broken beat
Glitch shit, you must cop dudes apps.

The Ringotron dude is bad ass too- can’t help but think of him, Michael(loopy),Cem, and the leadership over at Fingerlabs. Some of the best people to deal with.

TLDR: world class dev, the most communicated and tailored audio project I’ve been involved in to date. Total pleasure. get GlitchCore too!

  • Just wanted to say I’m still loving this app. Sick UI, responsive, fun to map, great time.

    Will def get GlitchCore soon!

Great work by @amatheu on this software.
Just checking it out on Logic these days, definitely recommended if you're into creative MIDI effects.

thank you very much for these magical time of music and imagination that your sequencer give me. I want to ask, I did not find, or there is no such function, recording notes in the sequencer live? it would be great to be able to enter notes through the keyboard, like in korg monologue or at least td3. for me, the moment of randomization is interesting, but I would like to play with a predictable result

Thank you, you are correct, there isn't a recording feature. I will take that into consideration when adding new features in future updates.

  • @amatheu Finally checking out Glitchstep and I love it! It's a ream to discover interesting patterns for apps like FAC Drumkit, etc. I love it for for drums/perc!

If you're still working on it, I'd like to see three things:

    1) In addition to the note, velocity, and probability, I' like to see ratchets/repeats. So I choose 1-4 or some other reasonable max and it repeats that many times within the gate length.
    2) In the glitch sequencer (the bottom left panel) maybe have the ability to long-press on entries in the "playlist" to add multiples, so I can play glitch pattern 1 for say 4 cycles, pattern 2 for 16 cycles, etc.
    3) Rather than just min octave and octave range, have some method to just set bottom note and top note. for some apps like DrumKit, One Shot, etc. it's not a clean octave boundary and you have to have notes that don't trigger or exclude voices above the max octave.

I REALLY appreciate the job you id to expose so much to AU params for mapping as well!

  • @amatheu , you fkn rock man.

The note selector menu that pops up when you select a step is a total productivity hack, I wish SnakeBud had that.

You are always so fwd thinking man, let me in on the next beta.!!

I do still have a roadmap and am adding things to it, I am working on another app currently but will be heading back to GlitchStep to add more features after it is complete. My challenge with adding new features is where to place them in the UI, as it is fully responsive, so has to fit in the tiniest of phones (the SE). For number 2, you can add as many cycles to the list by adding multiple the pattern that many times to the playlist, as I made the list unlimited in length (RAM allowing).
Thank you for the suggestions, I will consider them when looking at features for the roadmap.
