I wonder what this does?
Edit… AI?
if it happens to be hardware, maybe something that had haptic feedback/motorized faders would be cool to team up with push 3 standalone.
Sounds more like an event of some sort.
Dancing robot?
I'm thinking a small portable music making device to draw in the SP404mk2, M8 etc crowd.
Innnnteresting. No actual insight into what it could be, but I’ll bet one dollar that it’s a paid expansion to Ableton Cloud. A few months back they sent a detailed survey asking what features they should add, and quite a few of the questions dealt with the ability to sync large amounts of samples, presets, and projects between devices.
They are moving to iPad 😂
@jrjulius may have something there.
But I’m hoping it’s an iPad tool to
Move sessions to Arrangement to get from ideas/loops to songs faster and more intuitively as well as automation and mixing.
Then you grab your iPad and Move around like a pixelated donkey while you finish your banger.
Shop and Help also have tabs.
Let me guess. It’’s about moving. So running. So it’s Ableton Note for iWatch and Vision Pro.
I hope it’s a lower cost standalone 🙏
Something between Note and Push 3.
Dreaming…
This sound pretty plausible. Moving projects and presets between between desktop, push3 standalone and note bidirectionally, maybe.
A gadget you can off load live sets to and have some rudimentary control over clip launching volume etc aka a push 3 but without all the bells and whistles maybe.
Sounds bang on the money to me no matter how much I wish that it was what @Stuntman_mike said.
placing of the tabs might mean it's the 3rd most important entity in the portfolio.
@drez if it is just an event that will be a downer but a possibility.
Keep the guesses coming, this is fun.
Push and Move. Ableton out here just making poop jokes and selling them as products.
Since Clyphx Pro remote script has been broken in latest betas maybe it’s a super user friendly max for live device or just native that allows for extreme customization and action lists from any midi controller.
OMG you probably already know what it is!
I’m hoping for Ableton’s take on the OP-1 type go-anywhere machine.
Now that I think about the picture what stands out is the pixelated font on the word MOVE
Just reading on Ableton forum a guess there about it being a tracker.
This adds up too.
If so I’d be stoked as I need some tracker midi up in my Abe flow!
A collaborative looper something something like Endlesss.
your turn
initially the pixelated 'move' text gave me the image of LCD/OLED Screen and maybe a visual making machine but that doesn't make much sense to me.
if hardware I'll stick with faders.
I might have a nugget on this one myself.
'Move' your files anywhere!
I'd love to see some hardware that focuses on the Arrangement side of Ableton. With a super wide screen to display the timeline and tracks.
With a main dial control and sliders.
Dedicated Ableton MIDI keyboard with a few pads and a Mega LCD. 'Standalone Keys'.
I’m starting to think it may be an MPE controller. There are not that many of those out there and MPE is penetrating hardware vendors too.
Edit: never mind. Push 3 already supports MPE. A mixer maybe?
Maybe they bought Touchable…
Hoping “move” is hinting at a portable device as you’re on the move. With all the portable devices dropping recently, perhaps they want to jump in the game. Yes, realize push 3 has a battery but not really spur of the moment casual use.
Yah even though I no longer commute I do have my eye on this sort of thing, could be interesting.
