For me the lack of MPE is a big disappointment, but if it can still act as a controller for Live, and it’s cheap enough, I might still be interested. Nice little sampler/player too.
Only hope it doesn’t require Live 12, as the leaked sales spec suggests, since I’m still on v11.
All down to price really, if it’s more than the £500 floated around I’d be better off getting a Push 3.
Sorry, still not buying it. That hardware survey was back in 2022, before the push3 was released. I think that was a teaser idea to see how people would like the push3 when they released it, because it already has all of those things.
Sorry, still not buying it (meaning i don't believe it...also...i would not be buying it with money either 😂) . That hardware survey was back in 2022, before the push3 was released. I think that was a teaser idea to see how people would like the push3 when they released it, because it already has all of those things.
BUT IF IT IS IT...what a terrible terrible product for them to release. I doubt they "move" any of those.
Does that port on the back say audio in? Can it sample?
It certainly looks that way !
I see audio in, where is audio out? Only headphones? Weird decision
I had it before but I ended up selling it. The workflow just didn’t feel right for me. So many people love it though. I’ve heard people do some really good things with it.
If you are having problems def get rid of it if you can. Many of them were warped.
So around $500 USD, interesting…
Hopefully not too much scroll action.
It’s out:

Hmmm, should have had a better screen and 8 tracks. Might as well get Note and Push 3 instead.
Ableton Move Features:
True standalone operation transforms Ableton’s vaunted multimode production architecture into a totally mobile music-making machine
Flexible 4-track capacity includes drum, synth, sample, and instrument options that can be configured in any arrangement to suit your compositional needs
32 RGB-backlit performance pads feature polyphonic aftertouch for detailed, expressive performances with your sounds of choice
16 backlit, multifunctional buttons and nine continuous rotary encoders can be assigned to nearly any parameter or tool for real-time sonic contouring and recording automation
1.3-in, OLED display provides vivid, valuable information without becoming a distraction of menu-diving
Onboard processor, microphone, and speaker support seamless, immediate sampling for use in any environment
Stereo 3.5-mil. I/O augments sampling possibilities to include re-sampling of any audio from the instrument’s output
16-step sequencer includes flexible programming, malleable timing controls, and detailed per-step editing to ensure exacting artistic expression
Dynamic drums include the 16 Pitches Mode to instantly morph drums and one-shots into melodically tuned sounds across multiple octaves
Note Mode allows you to play chromatic, scale-locked, or chordal progressions that are customizable to include dozens of keys, scales, and multi-octave ranges
Session Mode lets you edit, trigger, generate, mix, and recombine audio by using Move’s pads to interface with individual clips
Arpeggiator and Repeat tools expand rhythmic and melodic shaping for inventive, on-the-fly edits and performances
Capture button offers a fail-safe for momentary genius, recalling performances and automation even if you weren’t recording
Comprehensive USB-A and USB-C connections facilitate diverse interoperative integration with expanded MIDI control of compatible software or hardware instruments
64GB internal storage ensures ample room for ongoing projects, ideas, and custom audio
Control Live Mode transforms your Move into an ultra-precise control surface for Ableton Live
Built-in Wi-Fi and Ableton Link compatibility means instant multi-device synchronization over a local network
Ableton Cloud and Move Manager let you seamlessly transfer projects to use with Ableton Note, Ableton Push, or the Ableton DAW, with genuine project files preserving every detail
But it depends on how you look at those 4 Tracks.
I see: 4 Tracks x 16 Pads of Samples = 64 Sounds (which can also be Pitched via 16 notes)

If it works with v11 I’m in.
Aha, noo!
“ Control Live Mode is supported for use with Live 12, version 12.1 or later, as well as Live 11, version 11.3.35 or later.”

I just sell my Digitakt II and bought the Ableton Move.
I agree but additional midi tracks would have been excellent for sequencing external gear in a live situation.
Who’s buying?

Both I was hoping, aren’t the sets compatible with v11? I guess if it’s using Drift, that would be an issue.
On the fence with this one. Not quite the full beans as a mini controller (no MPE), but it’d be handy as a sampler/instrument in its own right, since my iPad IDAM is playing up (again!).
It’s going to sell out while I’m dithering, but could be a purchase in a month or two, depending on reviews.
Any word on iPad integration?
Seems not to have Bluetooth? That's a pity for iOS musicians
Not disappointed at all with this, not expensive either at £399.
That’s probably possible via the inexpensive M-Vave USB midi dongle.
So happy to pass this gas!
