Actually not sure what’s going on, I downloaded and installed the Vox pack which I brought on desktop loaded a few sounds seemed to work. I deleted the zip file and the pack disappeared from the list so not sure they are compatible as content doesn’t appear to stay in the pack once closed, the Soundbox engine should be already unlocked they made it free to try now without buying a pack.

I got a bad feeling about this release the desktop version was buggy on release and crashed a lot before they updated it.

So far so good, I got the vox pack, took a while to download and install but no glitches so far - take on wood😊

Edit: After playing with it for a few hours more I realise the video above is a pretty poor example. After downloading that free pack and tinkering around some more I got the project to sound far better. I apologise for the bad example. Also, I've had a few start up crashes with stand alone version but other than that it's been pretty good.

4 GB!... that's not happening for my creaky old iPad Pro. LOL.

  • are there any factory sounds - not from purchased soundbanks? How they sounds?

  • don’t forget there is also a free expansion called Mechania on audiomodern’s site.

    https://audiomodern.com/shop/packs/mechania/

  • My Vox download that I paid for has now disappeared out of my account! What are Audio Modern doing 🙀

  • Can’t find a manual anywhere. ?

There are a few demo sounds (8) and you can download a free pack that holds another 15. Some sounds are really good and its's also very easy to just add to one of four sound slots if they're not filled (yet to be seen).
Edit: in the free pack, Mechania, there's a preset called MCH - MegaphonePad and it uses all four sound slots, it's really massive😀

  • Shame it's iPad only. I'm no longer iPhone-only, but I know a few blokes who are. That said, the Voxmotive 4 demo sounds baller af. 😨 That vocal lead, as soon as I have the money I will purchase just that pack. I can imagine that coming in handy for Trance music.

Insane graphic design though, way too small text, literally unreadable on my ipad mini with my crappy vision
Half the screen is a picture while rest tiny tiney. . .

Figured this would be the case...

    Shit is laughable...

Better devs deserve my money. And all of yours.

Yes, it means very, very good. :) I'll definitely be saving up my money to get these IAPs as a gift to myself.

OK, so I jumped in and tried the free demo and the other free pack mentioned by Matrixplan (thank you for that).
It sounds very very good - 'baller af' infact :)

I then purchased the vocal pack - it all changed then and the big area with that picture now has additional control parametres that make more sense with the screen realestate.

Its like having what xinamatix does not.

yup it sure is baller af :)

and the edges changed colour to light brown from black - I guess its unlocked now :)

  • those whispers in the Vox pack..... instant folk horror soundtrack

  • My iPad’s at home , otherwise I’d have this now . I’m gonna buy all the IAP’s too

  • So are the IAP purchases just samples? Or do they add functionality to the app?

Hahaha, you used my slang! Bless you, mate, lol. 😂 Yep, I can't wait to buy those IAPs. I will start with the vocals pack.

I can read them yes - but the fonts are very small. See my screenshots above . . . . this is iPad mini 7, so I am sure on my iPad 12 it would be better.

  • good engine, horrible interface.
    a no go for me...

  • Creating and sharing of packs might be interesting round these here parts, if it is as easy as it seems to suggest in their video, at 12:15, not much detail though.

  • Here is my video from yesterday.

And here is my getting stared tutorial from a few months ago.

  • Can this stream from external drive? If not, lack of storage space makes it a non starter for me.

Maybe, but I’m on an 11” M4 Pro and the tiny fonts have deterred me from using any of the Audiomodern apps.
