It is, I discovered. You just need to print to a new clip. Long press on an empty clip slot and you’ll get the option.
Yep. Or let us route midi between tracks. That would be even more powerful, I think.
For hats im looping one bar to make the velocity variations and moving the vel to sample start knob the the left so softer notes start the sample later, this give hat a really lively feel.
For ratchets Im using drambo and printing, of course this has to be done on a normal melodic track but you can move the clip back to a drum track
It’s a miracle. I actually finished a track. Thanks to GR2!!
First thing I have finished in ages on iPad or desktop. I'm liking the balance GR2 offers - options but not too many options.
Question about exporting audio....
When you export audio (song) to the GR2 folder it goes to Samples>Export. If you click to play the file it just opens GR2. Is that expected behaviour? I guess it's more for exporting loops to your GR2 sample library.
For rendering a song to listen to, it seems you have to share the export and save to files. Is that the way it's meant to be done?
I think thats standard ios behavior when you open a file inside an app folder, ive seen it before with flsm
And congrats on finishing music!
@cokomairena thanks. Yeah it's fine once you get used to it, just seems counter-intuitive at first to share your song instead of save to export folder.
I insert an instance of Neon in a Master Bus FX slot to capture the mix. I can trim, normalize, fade, convert output format and share easily from within Neon.
@GRiker interesting approach
So you can record arm in Neon to capture on playback?
Yes. Rewind GR2, enable Settings | Audio Monitor (ON), enable Sync, then touch Record to arm.
It’s a good idea to put a limiter or maximizer in front of Neon, as recommended in the GR2 manual. So I usually put Neon in the last of the 3 Master Bus slots.
I want to thank @jwmmakerofmusic especially for looking out on this one
