you guys are awfully quiet, this ones going back in the oven.

It already went back in the iPod oven. :)

  • @fjcblanco You want drum synthesis (not that you need another app :( ) try Impactor.

  • This does not happen to me. After saving you must select the song you just saved again..@kobamoto said:

what the heck, even saving a song is making the pattern completely change now.

ok create a pattern, then (while the pattern is playing) go and save the song, name the song and press ok or whatever, immediately you should hear the pattern change and add sounds that you didn't even have in it before.

  • Something is either afoot or amiss....

I already have it: Impaktor, MoDrum, iElectribe...actually I like synth drums.

I'm trying convince myself I don't need more apps like that, but...

definitely. cause I can repeat these happenings all day long

  • Im having a difficult time keeping anything staying like I made it. I'll make patterns and copy them and they'll change.

Do you have Werkbench yet? The best drum machine/sampler/ sample manipulator I have used so far.

Have you reached out to the developer Oliver Greschke yet? He's a good guy, and actively seeking feedback and bug reports on the app.

  • I have Werkbench. Amazing.

I'm really interested on @kobamoto issues. I wonder if copying/pasting into another app produce the same results.

@kobamoto If you haven't done so already, email the developer. He got back to me in a couple of hours.

ok so this is happening constantly, I'm kind of surprised that nobody has mentioned this

@kobamoto, tried to duplicate or recreate your problem, not doing that on AIR 8.1.2...Didn't try to save song yet, only synths. No problem.

There is a "feature", that tweaking in sequence #1 will not carry into seq.# 2.
Kind of like each of the 16 sequences is a 'scene'...so they (all) would play different...

I managed to record it into Audioshare by enabling the record on that, and then going into ED and playing. Sounded ok, but a bit hissy as the external mic kicked in.

why didn't you just export it from E.d ?

Probably because I don't know how to! Where's that option?

i'm not in front of it right now but I think it's under that arrow menu at the bottom right hand corner. (not sure) but it def has the feature.

Are you sure? I can only see options to save the song or email a file with the settings...

I can't replicate the issue you mentioned either, copying scenes works fine for me

  • I mentioned having this problem earlier. Saved a new preset, then hit randomize all, and this overwrote the preset without my having saved it... My other presets seem to be working ok though, so I'm just avoiding the randomize all feature

  • @monzo From the dev: "Audioexport is also possible. Use the round record button on the top. Then you can export the record via email, soundcloud or audioshare."

I think it might need a long press to bring it up.

Ah right, thank you! Didn't think of recording it first - some apps let you export loops without doing that. Right, that's my next track sorted then...

  • Has anyone figured out if this thing supports background audio?

  • edited December 2014

I want to make sure it's not user error before I bother the dev directly.

here again are the exact steps that I use and can recreate the issue every single time.

    1. start the app

2.don't even create a pattern, don't load any new sounds, only load a blank empty song

    1. on pattern one, press randomize everything

    2. listen to patt one

    3. copy patt one to patt two and it should sound different

DO NOT STOP YOUR SEQUENCE WHILE COPYING let it continue to play, do the copy and you will hear the difference immediately.

sometimes both patt will sound different. the earlier instructions I gave also reproduce this consistantly, I find that it's something connected to the randomize everything feature, as the other randomize choices don't do it all the time.

it also happens when saving a song, but only after you use randomize everything, then go directly to song save, name song, and after that it should sound different.

I'm on iPad 3 7.1.2 I'd prefer to get confirmations before troubling the dev of this great app.

  • wish i could film this and show you guys but i can't

  • if it still sounds the same after you copy to patt 2, copy patt 2 to patt 3 and there should be a change

are you saying that the 'randomize everything' is a tweaking that won't carry over when copying a pattern?

  • lower your tempo to like 80 bpm so you can hear the diff clearly

  • I'm sure any dev would prefer to hear from someone directly if they have a problem rather than having the user post numerous times on a busy forum about how weird and faulty things are with their new product :)

  • did you try it?

  • Have you contacted the developer as of yet? This would be the way to get your information you seek at this point perhaps?

  • good luck, let us know when they answer please.

  • Bought it. Tonight I'll play some time. Crossed fingers.

I'm not exactly certain of this but I thought this was the place for discussions regarding set ups, apps etc. I know what you're saying it's just that since the discussion is already happening I'd like to see the developer among us as he is already aware of this thread. This I bet would do wonders to his brand reputation.
