Huh, what were we talking about? :-b

Here is how far the iOS recording audio ecosystem has come. In 2011 I recorded my first 4 tracks if audio into an iPod Touch. No effects or reverb as non of this was available at the time. This 2015 Spring brings Auria Pro on iPad for $50 with the capability of a full blown studio daw. . In just 4 short years this has become possible in a mobile device.
Here is my purchase list for 1984. An Atari 512 ( thats 1/2 meg of ram ) with extra single sided floppy drive, $1000. Cubase 1.0 $369 Yamaha DX27 no velocity, no touch, non multitibral, no aftertouch, $1000 Yamaha FBO1 4 part 8 note sound module $800 Teac A3340SS 4 Track reel to reel $3,500 Tascam MTS30 midi / tape striper $500 Tascam M1 4 track mixer $2000, Alesis MidiVerb $500. Total cost net mentioning cords, cords, cords, power supplies,a ton of space and hydro draw, $7,769. To create some not so great sounding music compared to the pros. These prices to start making music continued on for more than 2 decades and the growing pains of connectivity and proprietary connections and midi development meant new gear and huge learning curves yearly. Nothing has changed as the technology continues on this path. Why? Because we demand it. The only difference is that this spring you can produce a record from your iPad that sounds like it was done in a million dollar studio for $50 ! Auria Pro comes at the top of technology and is not for the faint of heart. But if you want to be the ones that help bring this new way of producing music to the next level, work with it, report to your developers and stay on top of what's exciting and share your music. You are the expierimenters and the building blocks of the next generation of recording artists and producers. Enjoy the ride. Cheers._/)~*
Thanks for the responses @busker, @PhilW, and @WaveMachineLabs!!! I'm excited about this update!!!
Very cool comment @IPadArtist. It IS mind blowing when it's all laid out and put into perspective like that.
There are many of us here who have been on a similar journey!
Yeah, Dejavu, only with less equipment.
Same here. Still recall my faithful Tascam 688 Midi Studio. 8 whopping audio tracks on a regular standard high bias tdk cassette!!! Synced via midi to my old Korg i30 one man band keyboard arranger. I actually did more songs on that machine then I ever did while using the PC. Now that I have Auria, it is as simple as selecting track, arming track and record away!
Love it!
I bought a Fostex X-15 4-track recorder back around 1982 for $300. The quality sucked but I had so much fun with it!
Spring will officially begin this year on March 20th at 4:01 AM PDT and end with the beginning of summer on June 20th at 10:04 PM PDT....
....5months left to wait
or 2 :-)
turn that frown upside down
I saw on another ios website (can't find the article unfortunately) that Sugar Bytes Cyclop is coming to iOS (according to the article SB said it in an interview) this year.Sounds like a good chance to make an auria enabled version as well ;-)
So, front runner for App of the Year 2015? Jinx?
No, but only 'cause we didn't say it at the same time. +1 for early frontrunner.
Just dropping this in here because it's getting under my skin/hair/nails:
I look forward to this incredible-sounding update but is there ANY WAY we can have the effects/IAA inset list rendered alphabetically?
It is challenging my placidity to the point of Über-Irksomeness etc.
And why can't I rename a track in the edit window by double tapping the number of the track when it's expanded? I've known that doesn't work forever, and I still do it sometimes. Auria is the center of everything I do on an iPad, but she has her quirks. Don't they all?

Hey Guys.
Yes when I got the email promoting the new Ting lol (Auria Pro) I was genuinely exited. But then I looked and looked for a 2nd email with a apology, something like:
Dear Auria Owner,
We do apologise for the misleading email we sent you recently, it is untrue!
The truth is, you can get Auria Pro in the App Store TODAY!!!
Hehe..
We wished...
Anyway, RIM,
Is possible for you to implement a way we can see all the plugins currently being used and on what track, just a list?
I'm sure you can all see the different benefits of this. Little things, also ad up to make the big.
Also, I spoke to you approximaly 1 year ago about the RuTune plugin which almost fully works sometimes and not at all, at othertimes. I also wrote to the the developer at the time with no update being offered.
Not being funny, (and I own nowhere near all the plugins, YET) ... but ReTune lets it down just a little.
I know the devolper spoke about people sending him a sample of the glitches, crackles etc, but all he has to do is listen to his own video demonstrating it. No disrespect intended, at all. But it need looking into. If one slides the others may follow. Nip it in the bud!
Anyway, rubbing my hands together, and not to keep warm!
Lovely Jubbly.

That's a good suggestion for after the update for sure, thanks.
As for Retune, we have little actual control over the update process for the third party plugins. Some developers are more active than others at updating, so I would suggest contacting them and asking again

Okay mate, I'll get back on his case about it.
And I'll be waiting for my cheque in the post, or my Auria Pro code. Lol
Just kidding.
Or am I? Hehe...
Enjoy your day.
P.S, For the plugin readout, it would have to also identifie the track by the user edited name, not just 'track 1', 'track 2' etc...
Cheers.

So the dev tells you that the plugin is a 3rd party addition to their app and the problems with that plugin aren't their fault, and you try demanding a refund for the full app, or a promo code? You sound like a jerk.
I think he was kidding, hence the "Lol" and "just kidding." That plugin used to be included as standard but is terrible and was switched to being offered as an option if anyone really wanted it.
well posting while bitterly hungover proves to be a bad idea again!
@johnnygoodyear there's a "what do you want to see in Auria for 2014" thread over there. I mentioned the crahayzee inducing lists. Maybe go mention it too?
I've also asked for the mixer/arrange buttons to be a single wide toggle button. There's no reason to have to aim if there are only two states. One nice big no-thinking no-aiming button. If you're on board, add your vote to this pretty please.
I vote for 3rd button in the middle. This button would bring up the classic snake game. For when ur waiting for ur project to upload to Dropbox, freezing tracks etc. . .
Very interested seeing that it has realtime audio warping. And since it also does auto-slicing of audio, I wonder if the slicing is implemented non-destructively and whether realtime audio warping could be applied to the slices as well. In other words, can you slice an audio file and sequence those slices and then do audio warping by changing the global tempo and have the slices warp in sync (assuming the slices are implemented non-destructively so that the slices just refer to slice markers and original audio is what gets warped). If so, it would be able to do what even Ableton Live cannnot do.
Professor, when you say 'over there' you mean at the Auria forum? Happy to add my dull nod. Don't spend any time in that facility, but perhaps I should. Feels a little like polygamy.
Hehe.
@CalCutta. Your funny, (not). But if you had took the time to read what I wrote carefully before name calling, (which I think is vey inappropriate behaviour) you would have seen where I spoke about my cheque being in the post. If you can't understand happy writing, I suggest you keep your comments to yourself. You completely missed the point and honed into what you thought you could understand.
My major points are relevant. And my requests was answered by the correct person. Thanks for your imput though, even though it seems as if you wanted to just be negative for the sake of it.
I am in the UK, (at the moment). This means people see these forums all over the world. Your comment isn't giving it a good look. It's not all about you! Although I'm sure your perfect!
Anyway no hard feelings!? Seriously!
:-)
@Mrufino1. Thanks for using your common sense.

P.S, the joke was about me being paid for sorting the plugin out. Re-read and see. Bless
