Ditch the sampler ... give it to me now!
Bollocks..it was due out in spring and summer is nearly over lol
Totally lost interest in this update..saving my money for more gadgets and Nanostudio 2 which should be out soon
I'm thinking Auria Pro will land well before NS2. Software is hard.
I know where you live John!
Good things come to those who wait etc.
The way I see it, everything's pretty much possible on iOS now, just could be improved.
So better to wait for some really solid, well developed and well tested stuff, rather than have any more half-useful stuff released early.
If it's taking ages that's probably a good sign.
I figure at this point the dev is likely waiting to release after ios9.
I was genuinely curious!
Keep in mind that there's some pretty major improvements coming to the mixing workflow, which I am much more excited about than midi, although having midi will be good
Samesies. I have long loved me some MIDI sequencing but the mixer changes are what I'm most looking forward to. If it does what I'm imagining it will based on the existing info, think it might be the thing that gets me to buy a new iPad.
Over at the Auria forum Rim mentioned it's in alpha.
Lol, then it won't be out till next year..my suspicion is that wave machine are being too ambitious, trying to squeeze in a claustrophobic space hog of a cpu hog of an iap draining app into iOS..
We must never forget that the beauty of iOS apps is mostly because of a simple yet effective protocol ...
Yet people are thinking that full desktop style apps will serve them well on iOS..I'm not so sure about that really..
This app has achieved legendary status before being released
I'II be happy when it comes out and like others have said, better stable than rushed, but they have mis-managed their own time-scales somewhat.
I mixed an entire album, 24-40 tracks per song, in auria on my iPad air. I was doing it on my iPad 2 before that, although that required lots of freezing and was getting tight. But the air had no problem with it. You can hear it here:

I think wave machine is going to do a great job with the next version. I don't think anyone here can seriously say that their life has been negatively impacted by auria pro not being out yet. If you're waiting to make your album until auria pro comes out, it's not auria pro that's the issue, plenty of tools on iOS that will accomplish anything. Will it be easier when auria pro comes out? Perhaps, but you still have to make the music, it won't do it for you.
When it's ready it will come out. Do you want it released now while it doesn't work correctly? Not me,i want an app that will let me get things done without trouble, which the stable current version does now.
Don't see why full desk top apps can't work, given improvements in processor speed. There's some pretty complex stuff available already, including the current version of Auria. It's more how the real estate and UI are handled, and the touch screen is very well suited to a DAW.
Making an app is like opening a restaurant. It has to be amazing the first time, meaning it's got to make people go wow, and it's got to not break down. Because you only get that release day excitement and review cycle once. Rim would be a fool to mess that up.
Come on over, and let's jam!
It's not wether it will work or not that's the issue..the real issue is whether a full on chock a block app with multiple window after window is suited for a touchscreen device..

I've been in the middle of completing an album in Auria for the past several months. It will be several months until I can get it completed. I'm in no hurry for Auria Pro.
Then it was never meant to be the app you are looking for and you will do just fine with the non-existent mixing/mastering options in gadget.
Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet. (Aristotle)
Lol, you underestimate the quality output from gadget itself..if the levels are right, only a touch of mastering is needed
My label boss mastered my tracks and said he hardly had to do much at all to the final mix down and he is a pro sound engineer
Let's hear some of your Auria work as evidence to your claims then please sir..
You know it can be satisfying to reach a 'level' however for oneself. To get to a result, that pleases you, for me, Auria is it ...
I've got the hang of Aurias strange ways now, I don't think I could cope with an update yet.
I would be there's about 3,000 mile of ocean between us lol!
Only in exchange for some of your apparently excellent Gadget masters.I love Gadget but it doesn't even have eq's.Equalizer are my most important instrument and Gagdet is not even a toy in this regards. Many gagdets are boosting the the bass frequency as well, this leads quickly to a muddy sound. At least if you want to create some more complex projects.
Yes, I agree..most important that the artist is satisfied first and foremost..
Eq is option as fx in most if not all gadgets..
Choice of preset and samples used equally important to ensure integrity and compatibility of over all sound
Then levels must be adjusted nicely on each track
Once sequenced track is finished it can then be mastered elsewhere
You made initial claim about gadget not delivering high standards so you post a link first, this was not a trade off suggestion..rather I was asking u to back up your claims
Put your money where your mouth is lol
Further in regards to gadget bass..bass as u know must be used sensibly and the kick snares and hats must be compressed proper so the bass don't muddy it
It's all about the levels, preset choice, sample choice and if needed, fresh preset crafting for oneself
One has to simply take time in these choices, listen closely for overall compatibility of sounds together, adjust the levels, never go in the red..
If the original sounds used are already compressed and eq nicely ( and I think most gadgets come prepacked with such sounds, then there is absolutely no difficulty in producing a nice crisp premaster within gadget
Sure, if u want to export to Auria then gadget of course allows for individual export
It's not a case of supremacy between gadget and Auria but I do take issue if someone says that gadget cannot deliver a solid premaster- cause it can in the right hands
Ask Alex Matheus the glitchbreaks dev, he personally told me that gadget can indeed deliver very close to mastered tracks. And he is a very high calibre studio engineer with his own label
An example of his gadget work follows
Here, Alex Matheu aka Distraub / negative format ..
Complete track done in gadget alone
Now you're trolling us, touchconpiracy! :-b
It's all good, I see your good intentions. but the thread title has me all excited every time I see " Auria Pro!!!!!!!!!!!!! " at the top of the forum.
It's gonna be great when it does arrive.
There is no app that cannot produce good results in the right hands. Some may be easier than others for certain tasks, but technology is not the barrier anymore.
No need to have a peeing for distance contest, use what works for yourself and all is well (not directed at anyone specifically).
Gadget plus auria, for me they're a great team. And gadget is fun.
