But is Logic for iOS really that muh of a secret? I know we're all suspecting Apple is working on it.

I do not.... not in the next years! I bet on it ;) First Garage Band iOS have to grow nearly to the OS X version (still very far away). I bet more on a better Logic remote.

  • wow, Logic made by the audiobus team; this is big news ;-b

I just saw the actual announcement, can't wait!

  • I'm actually a five year old and i'm really looking forward to this secret app.

  • I am also 5 and I hope its an app that actually makes me finish a song or project.

    Dude... no.

    We're not working for Apple.

  • No, of course not. Very glad that is not happening, ...just from seeing the way Apple does those things.

I did finally go over and read the Audiobus update notes on the AppStore. Your new app is what I cannot wait for. confessions of a five year old

Chuck Norris signs by Audiobus Pty Ltd and finally TableTop is AB compatible.

  • I'm going to guess that the super, secret app will be... Videobus.

It takes your video input, routes it through a video effects layer, and sends the output to your video editor or device screen. It also handles audio and audio effects, in much the same way as Audiobus does.

Nope. Here's another hint. The app itself is ready but we're waiting for third party developers to get their apps through review so we're talking most likely some time next week as the launch date.

  • Is it Obscurium for iOS with AB hosting instead of VST?

  • Well, these are very good news, have as much third party compatibility as possible from minute one.

And the release date as well. Honestly, I have no idea but, you know, it's that kind of excitement...

  • I'm guessing it's MIDI bus type thing. At least I hope so!

I would buy that too ;)

  • Can I have another guess?

How about a Bluetooth app? You place it in the output slot to send your Audiobus audio to a Bluetooth speaker or headset.

Though I can't figure out why that one would need support from third party developers. Never mind.

Must be related to Apple... Either Garage Band or Logic...Place your bets!

Oh, need to always check sources and context.... Note to self.... It's super secret developed by the Audiobus team... Sorry for the false alarm!

So let's see...what else could it be....

  • I am a five year old. I cannot conceive of next week.

    We'll get there, together!

I will concede that's a good recipe for conception.

Wait, we thought you were 15

  • Sadly i'm considerably older than either of those ages!

  • Given the past work of the Audiobus team and the way they've worked with other app developers, I'm really looking forward to their new app.

I personally think it's pretty damn fun. But then I'm biased :D

  • Several Apps all together, now that's like my local Bus service wait for ages for one, then several turn up at once - so it sounds like a Bus?

  • Must be some kind of midi app or an audiomixer for audiobus.

  • AU-dioBus, with AU plugins to go?

That all sounds very, you know, useful, but I think there's more of a twinkle in the @Sebastian voice than something purely utilitarian...

    we need clues, man!

  • MidiSyncBus???

  • Seems like it will be some sort of a host app if it requires other apps to be updated to be compatible with it. But that makes me wonder why it wasn't an IAP for AB. No clue what this is.

  • I was thinking some sort of Magic MIDI routing and clock sync.

But the twinkle voice has me wondering... audio over wifi?
