I'm almost certain that it will be a midi program similar to Audiobus. I hope it's as dead simple as Audiobus is. :-) It's too bad that it couldn't have been incorporated into Audiobus as an IAP though. It would be cool to select the apps and go, rather than selecting the apps (audio), and then selecting the apps again (Midi). However, if the industry is getting behind it and making their apps compatible, that is a good thing! I'll be satisfied with having to open up and set up things in two apps. :-)
I hope you are right. I've always thought if there is anyone who can elegantly repair the whole iOS MIDI mess it would be the Mic'/Seb' duo
Agreed! :-)
Watching you guys guess is soooo fun.
Nope, nobody's figured it quite out yet.
I'd be surprised if anyone would guess it. All I can say is that it's something that we think is useful and fun at the same time.
And many of your suggestions are something we're already thinking about or planning to do next. If you feel strongly about it and if it's a limitation of audio stuff (on iOS), you bet we're thinking about fixing it.
This makes me think it is not Midi sync. Unless fun is short for functional.
It's not MIDI sync. But I wish I could talk about sync stuff with you guys but alas, I cannot, yet.
Although I'm sure the spectacular sync engine will be super, it's not quite super secret. However that'd certainly require 3rd parties to implement a new SDK.
Hmm....
That app should be Takete! And it is probably video related timing or video format related sync issue fixing. Well, I dunno!
multiple instancer/automator
Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm out for today. Please be friendly with each other and rest assured that we're going to launch this very soon, most likely next week. Enjoy your evening/day!
Oh and, if you definitely don't want to miss the launch, sign up to our newsletter: https://audiob.us/#newsletter
MixBus? audiobus mixer with multiple outs
Loopybus
I found some 'camera' icons in the AudioBus bundle and something called Hockey
It's a Klingon vocoder. Aktuh and Maylota is a demanding opera for most human singers and this will make those low notes really smooth. Obvious.
An AB compatible video camera or even a screen capture app would be cool. PG made Pickup which was IAA compatible but It never seemed to want to work right for me so I never bonded with it.
Or an AB compatible Skype type app would be cool too but I don't think they'd go down that road.
I'd love a solid hockey game. Alas, Hockey is a company that provides tools for iOS devs to distribute betas (like test flight) as well as test and track issues within their apps. Michael uses it for both AB and Loopy.
Getting closer...
Nah, not really.
That's amazing. You're actually searching through the bundle files
Big clue please? New stand alone product or AB addition?
Addition.
But it's not an IAP.
Videobus
The key here is fun. Earth-shaking, industry-altering thangs don't get fun as their first descriptor.
I think he's trying to confuse us and throw us off the scent...
Ah, you mean little bit of fun drops the bomb and giggles insanely?
Wild guess; a new iteration of SoundPrism.
Audiobus extension of FaceTime, for video-based sessions with others, is my guess
A patch morpher and randomizer for all the Audiobus apps.
This thread sooo reminds me of the old comps there used to be on this forum before TSTR went all posh.
