  • Is it a fun to play (like a SoundLoopyPrism touch interface) built-in sound generator? Proabably not. How about USB Audio and MIDI direct to/from AB with the help of a certain 3rd (Secret) party app developer? Oh wait, we kind of have that now don't we? Hmmm.

Is it a sampler? There's a sampler built into the iOS, and...I wonder...

  • Exactly what I thought , the ultimate AB app sequencer, I can't see it being anything else that would warrant an exclusive AB update just cause of one secret app

I'm almost willing to bet that it has something to do with intua...

But my second hunch is that it could be a device to device thing..

That sounds the most plausible so far - some way to sequence AB apps? Still though - its probably something (great) that nobody will guess.

    I'll take that bet. :)

  • Product... Fun.... Other apps onboard w/ integration.....

I have a haunting feeling that my colossal idea may not be so original. :(

  • Its the suspense that's driving us all nuts!

    Facebook integration!

    Lol!!!!!

Put me down for five also.

  • Finally a flux compensator ;)

  • multiple effect slots or a mixer

Hope this isn't as anticlimatic as reface :/

That would be kind of devastating.

Haha, me too! It reminded me of quite a long post Sebastian made on a Cubasis vs Beatmaker 2 thread which he ended with this gem! :)

    @Sebastian said:

Steinberg invented the VST standard. The Intua guys are snowboarders.

    Hopefully that helps. :)

  • Btw just to clarify: I wanted to show the different emphasis that the intua guys have with beatmaker. Beatmaker in my opinion is a tool that's great to get fast results with and fun. Whereas Cubasis is something that's built upon the history of Cubase. Two completely different approaches in my opinion.

@Sebastian Yeah I did't mean to take it out of context, I just remember thinking it was a great line and it was my first thought when reading the "...something to do with Intua" line above.

Just for the record, and full context of that post, it is the 3rd one down on first page of the thread linked below.

    https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/366/cubasis-vs-beatmaker-2

  • Man, that is an OLD thread. :)

  • Ok, now I'm thinking it might be something to do with Intua! ;)

Sorry for dredging up an old quote out of context, it was just a line that made me laugh.

  • Okay, you got me, it's Beatmaker 3.

    Just kidding.

  • Am I wrong in thinking it is four things, not just one ...?

  • An Audiobus addition, that is fun, and is also tied to third party apps...

A midi controller of some sort? Too obvious, and not sure it would fall in the fun category.

I'm kind of thinking it's some sort of DJ tool, just based on the "fun" comment. An easy way to play around with and mix audio together, or something along those lines.

  • Hmmmmm, Fun, and has the attention of 3rd party developers. Some sort of real-time online collaboration ?

  • Maybe a device from AB with an app? A stretch maybe but something to better integrate your home studio (midi) hardware with all AB compatible apps would be awesome for better workflow. I can imagine a single virtual interface coupled with a device to manage everything in realtime.

    You gotta ask Liam

    Do you have his number?

  • What an excellent ruse on @Sebastian's part to informally poll forum members as regards their deeply-held desires. Well played sir.

I'm with @touchconspiracy. I think it's a DAW or something DAW like. But a fun DAW. :-) Heck, you're routing all that audio around, how difficult could it be to capture it? ;-)

  • Is it an AB output, that plugs into an array of white lights on a stage, converts all lyrics to a highly racist and derogatory word, and then, to boost our ego's, tells us we are the greatest rock star in the world ?

  • Does it make good orange juice? If so I will buy it..

  • Spoiler Alert

It is an extension that allows for a different display of the Audiobus strip in the host apps.

If you have many apps connected, the icons can now be displayed in a 4 x 4 grid, and the fun bit is that you can move the icons around and play THREES with it

  • Maybe its voice control. AUDIOBUS ON... i said ON

  • @Sebastion has gone very quiet since the Intua posts, are we getting too close for comfort perhaps.

BeatBus - and the wheels on it go round and round.

  • I know what it is....
