If you save the loopy project from the AU extension in AUM you can just switch to loopy stand-alone and load the project straight from there, you’ll find it in the AU Extension folder.
If you watch my video right to the end you’ll see me do that.
The colour addition order is one that I selected empirically, with the goal of progressively leaving you with colours that are as distinct from one another as possible. They’re listed by hue order in the selectors, and they stay in that order within the mixer, primarily for aesthetic reasons, to be honest. But as you’ve discovered you can re-order them however you like and you can tap to change the colour.
For a moment there I thought “Oh, Wim is as messy as me!. Relief. Look at that donut mess, just like mine!”. 😂
Another funny about apps is that they sort of lead you in a musical style… I don’t know if this makes any sense, probably horseshit, but the glow, the colors, the round donuts… makes me feel like doing more “hippy” stuff!. Mellow… Zenbeats for example looks “harsher’ and makes me want to do more “steady rock”. Is this a thing?.
Thank you, Richard. I am going to watch your video again.
I like this way of thinking.
AuriaPro makes you want to sound like Steely Dan.
S_nV_x leads you towards intricate bit reduction.
Bebot sends you into naked abandon.
I'm striving to get there. You are an inspiration!
Damn. Now I want the Naked Abandon feature in LP!
Make it an IAP (In App Pleasure)
Stop it. You're making me see those donuts in some really inappropriate ways.
Awww, thought that was a video.
Just having a go with LK in Loopy - I can launch clips using loopy button widgets, but can’t stop them! Midi learn for the stop button is n/a - anyone know how this can be achieved?
MIDI Learn the track's stop button. Clip triggers by midi seem to be start only.
I was kind of offline during Christmas, so I didn’t spend much time with LP and my BSP yet. I wish I would be a BSP guru but actually I often need to look at the BSP cheat sheet that’s hanging on my wall 😂 I did a short session with my BSP to drive synths hosted in LP and then create loops with it. So far this works well and is a lot of fun. I actually used the BSP to quickly sketch out a drum loop or record a melody that is then quantized by the BSP before I record its audio into a donut. That is actually quite a neat workflow and I think in that sense the BSP is a very good companion for LP.
Apart from that I’m not sure if using the BSP‘s control section with LP makes sense. Probably for the mixer it does. But without visual feedback... I think LP‘s widgets are way more flexible than anything a hardware controller can do. For now, almost each of my LP projects has a different widget layout. What does make sense is a deeper out of the box integration as Michael did for Launchpads or the Akai APC 40. But I think in the next days I’ll try to explore that.
Jokes aside, but I think actually with Loopy I can finally do something musically with Bebot. That’s a great idea.
Ok... just went to test the 'pitch' in LoopyPro... and seems the demo has ended...
Well, my IAP is going to happen tonight...
But how is the pitch in LP, anyone?
Quick fix to the AU issues, plus the loops and MIDI controller combo, has sold me on it.
Feels like it could be a nice way to compose.
“Naked Abandon” sounds like one of Loopy’s auto-generated song names.
Ah yes, It said n/a on it so I assumed that meant I couldn’t! Just means it’s not set.
Thank you!
is anyone using the Launchkey mini (MK3) with LP? If so how do you have it setup and working. Just got one in the post this morning and thinking about how best to use it with LP.
Blocs and Launchpad app killer? They deserve it for not Auv3-ing.
Bring on the sound packs.. enough talented musicians here..😊
How do I midi map parameters of AuV3 instruments in Loopy Pro?

I made a video for how far I got in a menu in LP, compared to how I do it in AUM
Currently, it isn’t implemented for instruments. I expect that will change relatively soon.
I have not figured out if I can map AuV3’s to Midi controllers, I just want to map a Knob Twist in Moog Model 15 to an external slider I have (that is sending on CC 74). Plz halp

@Michael
It would be nice to be able to set the glide range of a midi controller to a AuV3, if its quicker to add that functionality than all the rest of the parameters. I can cheat in a CC binding from using Moog Model 15 in standalone before I open Loopy Pro.l, but it looses it’s CC binding, and glide setting ,when I minimize LP
A thought out of the blue ... I find it strange that Gavinsky, Jakob Haq, Jamie Mallender and soundforme has not done any videos on Loopy Pro yet. Jakob clarified about the pricing model and that's about it.
I wonder why ... ?
Those guys are thorough and spend a lot of time on their videos making them accurate, with good musical content, and entertaining. That takes time. Learning Loopy takes time.
The app has only been out for a week. And there was this little distraction called Christmas a few days ago, I think.
