    Thanks. It’s probably only me that’s bothered, but I’m a designer and things like that eat away at me. Not enough to actually remember to mention it to you til now, so low priority 🙂

    So I got the midi preview working, but I have some questions...

    How would you guys use this? Do you preview like midi templates for hihats & shit? Or full midi songs with 10 tracks + drums?

    I'm using a GM soundfont, but somehow it plays all tracks mixed on channel 1.

    Maybe I'm exporting it wrong from Logic, but I can't hear the drums.

    Saw it, no need to bump. Forgot to reply, but the files browser from iOS doesn't give much control. It's a cool idea though.
    I'll keep it in mind and explore what's possible.

    I’d use it just for single instrument snippets, which is why the idea of a crate full of midi snippets was exciting. Mix and match phrases. Anyhoo, I look forward to the midi preview.

    The batch renaming seems to not do anything in my Audioshare files folder even though I grant access on the highest level(on my iPad, Audioshare is grayed out)

    Also, Is there any chance you could include an export to model:samples feature?

    AudioShare is implemented as a File Provider (don't ask me what that means), which means some of the built-in iOS file handling doesn't apply to it. For instance, apps that can import entire folders in one operation can only import one file at a time from AudioShare.

    It's a limitation of how AudioShare is implemented rather than a Sample Crate limitation.

    Hm, that's a good observation @wim I haven't tried renaming with File Providers.

    as for Google Drive support, I guess if they expose a File Provider like Dropbox, AudioShare & Others, it should work.
    I'll install and test.

    As for M1 support, I tried running it on my Macbook Pro and it's not working like an iPad app. Because I use the iOS default file browser somehow it convers to a "File > Open" dialog on the Mac. I'll investigate more because I need it too :)

    At least look at the bright side, the tags are synced with Finder and you can use QuickPreview on Mac.

    SampleCrate can be used as a slideover (as can some other apps) so is useable alongside a host app for previewing samples.

    SampleCrate can be used as a slideover (as can some other apps) so is useable alongside a host app for previewing samples.

    Just because slide over take a lot of room
    it can be position where it doesn’t disturb me.
    If you close it tou have to return to reopen the dock slide the window.
    The window can’t be behind other window in the app.
    You can’t have more than an instance of Sample Crate a t once
    It’s not save within the master app.
    And the list is so long why shouldn’t it be AUV3? Do you have a single reason ?😊

    Thanks @Jeezs that’s added some clarity. I’m certainly not against SampleCrate as an AUv3 though not sure I’d personally prefer it to slideover (as you’d guess).

    I fear that sandboxing restrictions will seriously limit what might be possible.

    Sorry for being late to the party, but yeah slide-over is the way to go. I mean if you want it AUv3 just to play the pads, I'm sure there are others out there doing a much better job.
    Plus, AUv3 is still a mystery to me and a b***h to implement from what I've learned so far.

    as a small update, I'm working on some new features for a while now, but the job became super busy lately so they're on pause at the moment.

    Basically I want to build a wave editor / slicer inside Sample Crate.
