This is similar to what @gregsmith has asked. Already added to the features list. When we have more time we'll see what we can do about this
Excellent @xglax, thank you very much! 😊
I'd like to be able to edit the probability while the clip I'm editing is playing without triggering the notes. Since editing probability requires clicking the keys on the piano roll, it causes the notes to sound. One option would be to not trigger the notes while editing probability, since in this situation, it's not necessary to hear the notes.
Thank you for adding the other requests to the features list. 😄
Ohh, I see. You can already do that. You just need to click here:
This will disable the notes preview, so when you click on the keyboard the note events won't be sent but you'll still be able to select the notes you want.
@xglax Thank you, knew I was missing something.
1/128 division grid is even better as its universal on slower speed also (helium allows 1/128 triplets)
better PC automation (hard to set value, hard to change existed value to another, we need to see numbers)
Now iOS 16 is almost here.
One of the most missing feature is mouse support.
It’s impossible to scroll the matrix and others items using mouse wheel.
Hope they had mouse support in a future update.
MPE support
Yeah support for magic trackpad 2 would be awesome...
Sometimes it a little tedious selecting the looped notes..A simple crop (to loop markers) would be nice.. like Ableton.. Thanks..
I busted out LK yesterday after being away from it for a bit and hooked up my LPPro MK3. I had it hooked into the session mode no problem, but no matter what I setup in terms of MIDI routings, channels, etc., I could not get it to record or even receive notes from my LP. I also can't find a simple tutorial for setting that up easily, and this thread is 120 pages long. If someone can point me in the right direction, I'd happily make a video tutorial so no one ever needs to ask again
Any major new features or update (mouse support with scroll wheel, keyboard shortcut, audio clip launcher, …)
I'm an "unadvanced"user of Lk, so I may have missed some features. Sorry if what I suggest already exist:
Zenbeat or drumlab are not AUV3. Octatron and polybeat do not allow midi input or midi import. So, there is a room for that kind of functionality in Lk, I think. And it would be an IAP, of course.
Were you able to trigger clips when the Launchpad was in session mode?
U have to manually route the LP midi port input into it with the top of the AUM window. I really wish they’d just add this to the native auv3 midi since it clearly recognizes the LP DAW port @sinosoidal
Isn't that the same as routing it in the MIDI routing grid in AUM? If so, I did that and still got nothing.
@espiegel123 yup. Clips showed up just fine.
These are my routings all working fine..
You need to route the LPPro MIDI Out port to LK. That is where the LP sends midi played in notes or custom mode. LK automatically sees the DAW port output used by session mode only since you might want to send the notes/custom midi elsewhere.
@symianbeatz Thanks. Your settings look just like mine, so I'll redo it and see what happens. Can you show me the MIDI routing stuff you have at the bottom of the scene/clip launcher window when you hit the MIDI symbol?
@espiegel123 Ya, that's what I figured and tried. Still didn't work. I'll toy around with more and see what I can come up with. There has to be something simple I'm missing.
You could use a MIDI monitor, like StreamByter, to confirm that notes from LPPro are reaching AUM. If they are, then the problem is inside LK. I assume you've already checked that MIDI channels are correct, and that notes are not being filtered by AUM (snake icon on title bar for LK AUv3)..
That's all that shows with the midi icon highlighted, are you sure you haven't forgotten to arm the track you want to respond?
I'll check to see mine looks like yours. I'll also double check arming the track. The manual for this is pretty out-dated, it seems, on the website, so trying to find certain things was difficult.
@uncledave One step ahead of ya! Notes are getting through no problem to AUM.
Yeah the manual definitely needs some love for sure doesn't help that it's online only also, I'd prefer a pdf with adenums per update like most others..
Also worth checking you routing inside of each track in aum, I only set up each instance to respond to a singular midi channel from the first node of lk and filter all other channels out..
If you route the MIDI out to LKs input and that doesn't work, please post screenshots of all the relevant set up screens. You might not have things routed the way that you think. You also have to remember to tell LK to use the MIDI input.
Did you remember to turn listening on in LK? They look like record buttons. I just tested and it is working fine for me routed as we've suggested.
Y'know, you can take screenshots and post them instead of photos. They'd be a lot easier for us to read. On conventional iPads, you click Power and Home together to take a screenshot. Newer iPads use other tricks.
Yeah I know just doing it quick and dirty for speed..
+1 I’d love to see drum-specific clips aswell. All valid points.
I can’t stand piano rolls for drums, it’s a brain short circuit.
Like you point out most auv3 sequencers don’t allow real time recording, a must.
Would this be hard to implement?.
@espiegel123 @uncledave @symianbeatz I got it working. I didn't have stuff armed in LK. Stupid user error. Thanks for all the help!
