Just made some sounds in Hilda to tide me over till pay day
It's quite a learning curve (modular in general, every time you come across a new module), but I approach it like a Sudoku.
I know what I want to achieve, and I usually know a place to start (e.g. let's feed the oscillator into the filter). And then I build step-by-step from there. It's a puzzle really - and that's what makes it fun (for me at least
).
I HAVE to get this…soon as my paycheck hits im grabbing this . @brambos and @jakoB_haQ are insta buys
That’s great, I can’t wait to make some unintelligible gibberish and ugly noises with this
Love the pulsequencer! Sure wish it sent MIDI out...
This is very exciting. Really appreciative of the color coding & the ability to wavefold a pure sine wave. Instant fave.
This can Krell.
Oh boy, here I go into the rabbit hole again
When drambo first came out i was learning stuff every day about it! But i went back to AUM and other MIDI apps and now I’ve forgotten all that i knew haha its kind a over whelming but ben made some excellent videos that i need to run back thru and see what other stuff is out there.
I actually understand mirack better than drambo which is probably weird.
Hilda is amazing, one of the best synth apps ever made and now this! Too good! I’m running thru the presets and seeing all the possibilities.
Started by just browsing the generative presets and now I’m stuck at little workers for half an hour. One star review 😂
If you develop any patches you like and want to share, post them here.
Works so smooth on iphone, too. Beautiful work!
If it's any help as a data point to judge if the effort is worth it, seeing that it would run on my Intel Mac turned it to an insta-buy. I mean, I usually end up buying most of your apps eventually after putting up some token resistance, but I literally didn't even wait to pick up my phone before deciding.
If you mean me, then sure I will. Once I figure out how this unholy contraption works
Not running on my Intel MBP (10.15.7) unfortunately (‘Termination reason: Namespace OBJC, code 0x1’ - whatever that means!). Not a problem for me though, as I’m running it as a plugin via my M1 Mini.
The generative presets are superb!
Was that standalone or as a plugin? Or both?
(macOS 12.7.6 here)
Me neither, it’s @brambos what’s to decide?
Standalone, doesn’t appear at all in Live 11, though I don’t think Intel supports AU’s anyway.
The App description says it works on 10.15, but I guess I’m pushing the limits of that one! I’m going to be using it mostly on the iPad and on the Mini, so not a big deal, just wanted to give a heads-up 😎
Sure, Intel does support AU's and AUv3's if the plugin is compatible and if the host has support.
The AU plugin opens for me in GarageBand and Fl Studio no problem. It's listed in Live Lite 11 but doesn't open - no AUv3 plugins do (for me).
I thought I was done for the year y'all!! Instant buy after haQ's walkthrough.
Two minutes in and making the most disgusting noises.
This is going on my standalone shelf
Ah ok, don’t think any are showing up for me in v11 (suite) on the Intel. I’ll double check in the morning though. If I select Solderbox standalone nothing opens, and after a few seconds I get a failed to launch error report.
To be honest I bought it for iPad, the fact it works in Live on my M1 Mini is a bonus, works perfectly on there.
In modular I usually only half-understand what I am doing. The fact that it can surprise me and even seem to come alive and have a mind of its own at times is what I love about it. So don't worry if it seems intellectually difficult--that doesn't really matter so much if you are open to whatever it gives you, even if it's not exactly what you thought you wanted.
Understood, and I'm not trying to belabor the topic, but only putting out data in case it's useful for anyone else.
So, I installed Live Lite 12 and after enabling
Use Audio Units v3in settings (it was off by default), Solderbox both showed up and works. I believe Live 11 only supports the older AUv2 plugin format.Nasty look pulling the manual up on Edge on a PC, looks fine in Chrome on iOS though.
Me problem?
Just posted the first fruits of my messing with it in Creations. I asked myself ‘Can it Dark Ambient?’’ Yes. Yes, it can.
Though I don’t know if it is ‘contemporary’ enough…
Lol if it happened today i think its considered contemporary
This is fantastic! Instabuy!! You got my money
Just picked it up…can’t wait to get cracking on it!
