@McD At least on iPad, there is a setting in Files to show file extensions. You don't seem to have this enabled.

Thanks. It’s working to change the file extensions for me now.

Found the setting on iPhone as well.

That’s just AudioShare, from inside the files app. The files app has the ability to access, edit, move, share, zip, unzip, copy, etc… anything from AudioShare. Hopefully that answers your question.

It's the sister app for AUM. So your AUM recordings end up in AudioShare, and that's that.
There's also conversion and cropping tools. It's getting somewhat outdated but Jonathan has spoken of a new version in the making, but. I don't know. I have had it from the very beginning of my iDevice journey (6 years) and use it all the time, but I am a AUM dude, dude. 😁

There’s certain apps I own that seem to be built around audioshare. Borderlands Granular is a great example. If you don’t have audioshare (I do not), importing and exporting audio files into and from the app IS POSSIBLE, but a bit of a pain and having audioshare would streamline your workflow. I haven’t encountered enough of these apps to Justify picking it up, but I’ve def been tempted haha.

This is also a guess, as I started ios music stuff after auv3 was implemented, but I always assumed AudioShare was made for ease of transferring between apps in multiple windows (IAA)

Good catch indeed. I'm only missing Zeeon, which isn't free to complete but still 50% off. Time to complete the set.

Guilty as charged ! And another emerged from the Halls of Music… ;) Thanks for the simple explanation: I was literally way overthinking it … I mean I found the stems anyway but I guess it’s just easier to manage and navigated

(I am too increasingly AUM as I can’t extricate it as the foundation that gets sent to Cubasis - and the IAA is still useful to me even tho it seems I’m increasingly the only one I know who uses it lol 😆)

And I think @squishy had a good point!! , and it also ties in with the age of some apps so it’s all good - whatever works for you is good 👍

  • Overloud TH-U has a sale 25-33% on rigs and a new release from LHS called Red Mars. I'm not sure on components as they always have showed me those wrong i.e prices for things I own.

It’s one of those things, you can use it at face value, or you can goooo waaaaaay deep. Just check patch storage. There are so many Drambo projects on there mirroring Apps you might own or want. The people do some amazing things on it, and you can swoop in at$8.02 and a couple of downloads, your whole process is going to change. It’s a midi, an effect, and an instrument.

No! Not hard at all to learn the basics. You can use it as a step sequencer, AU piano roll, an instrument, a sampler without getting very complicated at all. And everything follows the same design language so learning the deeper aspects of it comes naturally and rewards experimentation. Plus there’s loads of tutorials. 8 bucks is a crazy deal.

I don't know what purpose it would serve in my workflow.

Now your speaking my language 😃

  • @ecou im brand new to drambo (few weeks deep) and the feature that has me reaching for it over other hosts the most is recording the automation of auv3 parameters. AUM and apematrix is dependent on lfos (nice that these are built into apematrix at least) but being able to simply hit record and mangle away is fannnntastic imo

  • Maybe considering Drambo.. I searched a little in that patch storage thing, are there any cool drummachines available for Drambo? I found a kick synth but I wonder if there is anything large and deep.
