Just checked and it's £40 for me. Slightly irritating, as I only bought V1 a couple of months ago.
That's pretty cool, seems like they're bringing some of the magic from Borsta and Skaka, nice additions. I don't own version 1 on desktop so I don't know what the discount price is but I see it's on sale right now for $119 US. Still a bit rich for my blood, but maybe we'll see a deal for Black Friday.
£40 upgrade for me.
I wonder whether they'll manage to avoid a shitshow in regards to bundle pricing if/when they launch this on iOS. Oneshot has often been heavily discounted so I'd imagine a similar debacle to VS2, where most existing owners will get no discount at all for upgrading. Hope I'm wrong.
I’m not exactly over the moon the desktop version I bought just a few weeks ago has been discontinued - so no updates or bug-fixes, unless I grab the temporary upgrade offer and shell out another £40.
I was going to add a few more desktop versions to my collection, but that’s off the cards now.
Update: they say "Possible to upgrade to a reduced price" for the iOS version too.
Got a mail 39 bucks for existing desktop users.
What exactly does that mean?
I guess the usual iOS style upgrade offer style, where it's based on what you paid for v1.
Have to say I won't be upgrading, sour taste now with having an abandoned desktop version literally weeks after buying it.
40 bucks during intro period then 60
100% they'll port it but it might take some time (I miss the time when they always released in tandem).
The fact that it's not a free update, well, it's a company with employed people and I doubt they're swimming in profit AND it's a lot of new goodies. I'm far from rich, on the contrary, struggle pay check to pay check, but I don't have an issue with it.
They should have used those employed people to fix bugs in the first version that were reported since release for the past two years. They didn't fix those bugs until a month ago.
Why not wait to buy Oneshot 2 until Oneshot 3 comes out and they finally make Oneshot 2 a usable piece of software? As far as I'm concerned Oneshot 1 was a paid beta test.
Did they ever solve that corrupt slots issue? Or do you still have to reload them all in each session?
Ah nice!
I’ve love the original on iPad and keep holding off from buying desktop every sale that rolls around and use the iPad version as a sound module. Probably gonna do the same for 2
Took them two years and a new app to do it. Don’t expect Oneshot! 2 to get any kind of support until they need more money.
Looks like the plugin I bought a few weeks back, now won't get any support at all.
Fair to say I'm no longer a fan.
Just FYI I contacted Klevgrand two weeks ago for the Oneshot multi out not working on latest Logic Pro and they said they weren’t aware of the issue but they would have fixed that.
What’s the state of it ? I have created at least a dozen songs since I bought it. I talked with the dev for the problem I had and he fixed it .
I am excited about multi slots per trigger.
Haven't been able to use custom slots since release until a month ago, two years of people reporting the same bug for it to finally get fixed and then ask for us to buy a new version.
The first one was marketed behind being easy to use your own sounds in the program, it was impossible to do anything but use and edit presets for two years. I'm happy with the sounds it makes, but the software is/was shit. You cannot scale the UI at all either.
That’s the bug I talked with the dev and tested.
They never asked you to buy a new version. The old one is still available and works well.
Kinda over the top comment.
The old version was UN-useable beyond a preset browser and editor until a month ago. We see the world differently. It's okay to put up with the bare minimum if that's all you need, but please don't act like they delivered upon their feature set when massive software product omissions were left for years.
We need standards beyond "it makes sound".
I'm wondering will make it easier/possible to import/export patches between PC and iPad.
Remind me what the problem was with custom slots? And any idea why it took them so long to fix it?
If memory serves, you would load your own sample in which would work for that session, but when you closed and opened the session the slots would be corrupted and you’d have to load the samples in again.
The workaround was to save the slots off as user presets before closing the project, but I think this just made it easier to reload them when corrupted. I just stopped using oneshot at that point.
I’m guessing they fixed it whilst developing oneshot 2 so they were able to apply that fix to oneshot. I don’t really care as long as I can keep using it now it’s fixed for a reasonable amount of time.
Right, but the annoyance of people who were using this to load their own samples is definitely fully justified, that's terrible to have had to wait so long for a fix
Have they said it's deprecated? No need for that negative conclusion if they haven't.
I think you can count on support on issues you may find.
There’s every need. It’s been replaced with a completely new version, and there’s been no mention of continued support for the one I bought a few weeks ago.
Part of the value of a piece of software is the support and updates it will receive. If I’d bought it a year or so ago, purchasing the upgrade wouldn’t be an issue, but I don’t like my new thing being an old, deleted thing, just a few weeks later.
It apparently took them years to fix a major bug in the current iOS version, so I find it hard to believe I can ‘count on’ quick bug fixes for the version they’ve just discontinued.
I contacted Klevgrad support this summer and they put me in touch with the dev. I had a couple exchange. Suggested something. Dint work o. First try. He came out with multiple beta, I guess fixing different stuff, it finally came out a month ago.
Did anybody contact support ?
I also bought the desktop version a couple weeks ago for 30 bucks after owning the iPad version since it came out. I'm thinking about getting this substantial update for 40 bucks and think that's a pretty good deal, 70 for me Vs 120 intro offer.
That motion trigger looks pretty good to me, probably a lot of fun controlling that with polyaftertouch.
