Remind me what the problem was with custom slots? And any idea why it took them so long to fix it?
If memory serves, you would load your own sample in which would work for that session, but when you closed and opened the session the slots would be corrupted and you’d have to load the samples in again.
The workaround was to save the slots off as user presets before closing the project, but I think this just made it easier to reload them when corrupted. I just stopped using oneshot at that point.
I’m guessing they fixed it whilst developing oneshot 2 so they were able to apply that fix to oneshot. I don’t really care as long as I can keep using it now it’s fixed for a reasonable amount of time.
Right, but the annoyance of people who were using this to load their own samples is definitely fully justified, that's terrible to have had to wait so long for a fix
Have they said it's deprecated? No need for that negative conclusion if they haven't.
I think you can count on support on issues you may find.
There’s every need. It’s been replaced with a completely new version, and there’s been no mention of continued support for the one I bought a few weeks ago.
Part of the value of a piece of software is the support and updates it will receive. If I’d bought it a year or so ago, purchasing the upgrade wouldn’t be an issue, but I don’t like my new thing being an old, deleted thing, just a few weeks later.
It apparently took them years to fix a major bug in the current iOS version, so I find it hard to believe I can ‘count on’ quick bug fixes for the version they’ve just discontinued.
I contacted Klevgrad support this summer and they put me in touch with the dev. I had a couple exchange. Suggested something. Dint work o. First try. He came out with multiple beta, I guess fixing different stuff, it finally came out a month ago.
Did anybody contact support ?
I also bought the desktop version a couple weeks ago for 30 bucks after owning the iPad version since it came out. I'm thinking about getting this substantial update for 40 bucks and think that's a pretty good deal, 70 for me Vs 120 intro offer.
That motion trigger looks pretty good to me, probably a lot of fun controlling that with polyaftertouch.
Those heavily discounted sales suddenly make more sense now that we all realize they’d been working on its replacement all along.
If they go with a bundle as a discount option for existing owners, I, for one, won’t be getting much of a discount which, in reality, will most likely mean I don’t buy it. Will be interesting to see how this one pans out price wise.
It's clear that many devs don't understand the bundle system properly so if devs keep doing new versions of apps every few years, and existing users aren't getting any incentive to upgrade, I think devs will learn the hard way that many users, like you, will not be willing to upgrade. Again, not really anyone's fault other than Apple's, they should have a system in place for paid upgrades.
I paid full price for the iOS version, so should get a discount on the bundle. I won’t be bothering though.
Tomofon 2 next?
Yes brother you were not the only one reporting the same bug or the first person. The bug has been present and reported since the app was first released in Sept 2024.
I’m happy they worked with you, but they took too long and dropped the support for the app, look at the reality and not your own satisfaction.
People spent more money on preset packs than the app even costs, that they couldn’t use for years. Your own sounds? Forget about it!!
Yes completely agree it’s a poor effort on the dev’s part.
So I were right going on like a moron throughout thread.
aka the goodness of using samples instead per track but forsaking Realism for Host track functionality.
Im at the middle ground when it comes to drums.
No weird drum machines like Batalion much available ( I call these Squelchy drums ) Synthy drums .
Not the best realism for Acoustic samples either.
Its just sample any sound.
Trigger.
Done.
Building IOS drum machines ( since 2019 )
The presets packs did not work for you ? I bought Unholy drum and had no problem with it.
This problem? Did they say it’ll be sorted?
Edit: just got the corrupted slot issue instantly as well 🙃
It’s loaded ok since that time though.
They said:
I noticed there were a whole bunch of critical comments about the new version on their two YouTube videos yesterday, but they've all now miraculously disappeared.
Funny that.
I’ve emailed their support too. Hopefully it’ll bring the fix forward by a year or so.
I just got an email back from Michael at Unfiltered Audio saying he's reproduced the issue and has a fix for the multiout logic problem in battalion.
I got some info from him and will pass to the guys at Klevgrand to see if it helps speed things up
Apparently there's a new requirement for multi out where you must have 16 multi out busses now. Previously plugins could get away with less than 16
Saw this in the comment section of YouTube.

sweet, thanks for sharing
Good stuff. Hopefully an easy fix then.
Have they done anything that would improve the packaging of preset/samples monolith or other system. To make it possible to use cross platform?
I shouldn't really have done it but in the end, I couldn't resist. A couple of days with instant noodles isn't that bad 😊

Anyway, the discount for V1 owners looked so much heavier in print: $160 is a lot
That’s a bargain 👍 Enjoy!
I couldn’t resist, either. That iPhone shaker thingy is pretty cool.
The superlong cymbals are also cool but the fact you can add several drums to the same midi note and add delay to the steps are really one of the coolest additions imo, e.g for very nice fills and rolls.
Sorry, just scanned through this thread:
Is one shot iOS the same as the desktop version, as in the same quality samples and functionality? So the same I assume applies for one shot 2. I’m not sure if anyone mentioned a release
OneShot <-- (how it's written) is exactly the same on both platforms OneShot2 will come to iOS later this year.
