I swear I saw somewhere to change the time signature of the piano roll somewhere in the app the other day and now I can't find it. Am I going crazy?

Time signature, hmm, not sure, but maybe you're thinking of the Note Grid section (tap the 3 dots on top right, then tap the new 3 dots that appears, then scroll down to 'Note Grid'). This lets you set sequence length, steps per beat, and beats per bar. It's really hard to remember where that setting is, it seems to have been jammed into the middle of a list it doesn't really belong in...

Yes! I found it last night. It's so weird that it'd be there. This thing needs a legit manual. Good lord. Thank you!

  • Anyone done much with Rubato lately? @Edward_Alexander your comment on the performance aspect has been kicking around in my head. You mentioned the dev discussing aspects of posting live- do you happen to remember the source?

Yeah I haven’t messed with it in a while.

Alexandernaut talked about it somewhere. Might have been in the comments of one of his videos; where he talked about (paraphrasing here) how he designed FMR, and even the OG Fugue to be “played” and controlled “Live”.

I certainly haven't. It's a right proper headache for me to wrap my brain around. 😅 I haven't asked for a refund, because I still foolishly feel like someday I'll "get it", that it'll "click". But good heavens mate, I'd rather spend time watching paint dry than try to figure out how Rubato works.

Better yet, I'd rather actually make some fucking music with the tools I do understand to use (whether that's Ambient, Lofi, EDM, HipHop, Country, whatever I want!) 🤣
