AUv3, Over 900 Factory Presets.... oh yah and the Magellan patch makey thing, that was fun. Sure hope the audio engine can reach Zeeonish levels (whatever that means, heh, and I typed it).

  • It doesn’t appear to be available yet, even though there is a link

Tells me it is in the US store....

Man, I got $100 in silly Google Play cards I need to convert.

  • Nope. Shows unavailable just like Odessa. The app store is absolute trash.

  • Sounds impressive in the videos on their site. A nice video review would be good to see. Just for fun I’d be curious to buy it and see if the ai within this synth all of a sudden goes unexpectedly rogue and takes over my iPad locking me out...

  • I'm thinking I'll be buying a synth over breakfast...See you in the morning :)

I'm sold after watching that video.

Which one, the “clockwork Orange” video?

  • I'll say this - they're saying all the right things. "warmest, punches Synth to date" and "pure, honest synthesizer that requires little help from FX or post-production to take center stage".

That's been my issue with Magellan and Kaspar. I think Brice said "it's like listening to voicemails from my other synths" and that sentiment NAILS it. The rest of it is a super feature set, but at the risk of being droll that's par for the course with Yonac. They put out top shelf apps by way of feature set. So I'm just hoping for a richer sound from this. I'll have to see if I can hold out through the initial excitement/hype.

    Probably not....

  • Oh yeah - the Spawn bit looks incredible. The randomizer thingee was a blast and generated some very usable sounds, if you dialed back/off the egregious effects. And no mention of the Arp/Seq section in the pictures.

  • This is an App Store problem that’s effecting lots of apps, Kauldron is amazing as soon as the App Store catches up with reality I'll hit publish, you guys are going love it, and Spawn2 is very very clever

How would you characterize its sound in regards to Kaspar? Does it sound like they’ve just put a new outfit on Kaspar? Or do you think this new synth engine provides a noticeable difference (i.e. a better sound)

The only similarity between the two is the Preset Browser is designed in the same way, the actual sound is completely different in my opinion, the movement in some of the sounds is just insane, I actually say in the video that I think this is a programmers dream. I think you will love this Brice

  • Kauldron is live and 60% off, hard to resist.....

  • Ha, £ 3.99 UK no brainer :)

  • Wow, under four bucks and from Yonac. I'm all in on this!

  • yeah, but how does it sound?

I wonder if this could run on my iPhone 5s, which has the same CPU as iPad Mini 2.
