    Why not enable record for sustain pedal an CC1??? don´t need to edit pedals or modulation.... Make sustain pedal at least!

    So importing a piano MIDI file with/sustain pedal will not play the pedaling??

    @blueveek This is truly epic. Atom is a great tool in my arsenal and you're taking it from a catapult to a ballistic missile. What you've shown off so far is insanely impressive.

    @Synthi The problem with that is that when you change your main sequence (move the notes around for example), the sustain pedal CC messages would "stick" and sustain the wrong thing.

    I'm am however debating whether allowing black box recording would be something I'd be comfortable with. If so, then it's a trivial thing to enable (it all technically just works, I've just disabled it for release because again – no editing).

    Yes. You can also pick the MIDI channels from within Atom (some hardware synths are super fussy about receiving from a specific channel).

    Exactly. Atom is amazing in AUM. For a long time I tried to figure out a way to export my midi loops and import them into Cubasis 3. I purchased all the midi sequencers trying to figure a way that didn't disrupt the creative flow. This is certainly a game changer. Nothing is quite as intuitive as Atom. Just adding midi export makes it an insta buy for me. This is just superb with all the extra bells and whistles!

    @blueveek : I beg of you to enable Atom 2 to record and playback all MIDI (on the channels received) even if it is as a black box. For many of us, CCs are as important as notes AND would be overjoyed to at least be able capture and playback performances even if we can't edit them right now.

    There is nothing right now on iOS that can really do that outside of standalone apps -- and Photon kind of (but it is so fiddly as not to be very usable).

    If adding a black box mode is not time-consuming, please add it sooner rather than later.

    @blueveek +1 Yes, a super secret Easter egg only the insiders will be able to discover or muck about with at their own risk without any expectation of supporting this type of functionality while you work on the Atom CC recorder/editor at your own leisure? We’d be undercover beta testers for this functionality and wouldn’t tell a soul 🧐👍🏼.

    Exactly true same scenarios for me, I love Cubasis 3 workflow but working in Atom via AUM and then exporting to Cubasis 3 for audio recording is an ideal workflow for me. This has been a very “interesting” forum thread

    For simplicity, I would say blackbox mode should be just that. Investing time to be able to delete select CCs seems like time better spent on the planned CC editing.

    Please! blackbox at least! Most of us don´t edit the sequences, just think like an audio looper, I just need to record, repeat and play my performance. This don´t do a diference for people not using CCs or sustain pedal, but makes the whole diference (usable or useless) for a lot of us!
    You can make this an option in the preferences (record sustain &CC on/off) with even a little poopup saying you can edit those.

    It records CCs and you also can edit them. Brillant App (AUv3) from Imaginando. Don‘t get me wrong, but I don‘t really understand the hype about Atom2. Strange that LK doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.
    BTW, I will also get Atom and use it, congratulations for the release. Would be nice, if you add MPE recording And editing soon (Even Ableton has this now ;-)).

    Lots of excitement from me for LK. It’s now my primary music making platform within AUM. It’s equally ground breaking and developing so fast with beta updates 2-3 times a week.

    I’m hoping to use LK and Atom together somehow.

    LK only records on a single channel and only does 4/4. If you are performing on a device that generates MIDI events on multiple channels, it isn't convenient to record in LK. And support for non-4/4 time signatures is some time off in the future.

    It’s more or less flipping a switch. Adding some new UI elements for coarse editing (delete, etc.) should be fairly trivial.
