Woah! What is this now? I tried to find it but could not.
This thing: https://circuit-librarian.herokuapp.com/
It only backs up/restores the whole kit'n'kaboodle, but that's a fair start.
Someone else posted it earlier in the thread I think.
Sweet, thanks for the link!
Yeah, the online session back up is still in beta and you need a facebook account to use it. More log in options are coming though.
Doesn't work for me for some reason (Windows 10).

Bah I only got 2hours with my faulty one, and now I'm looking at 1-2 weeks to get its replaced or repaired. All you damn people having fun.. Humbug
Here's a video of my faulty circuit..
Broken circuit.
Haha yes
Lost another 4 hours. Making one 1 bar pattern.
Today's discovery: Layering chords & a melody line in one synth part using a long sounding preset with an envelope macro. Set the chords to long gate times & the melody an octave or two above on short gates. Now manipulate the envelope parameter to pull the chords in and out i.e go from pad to stab and back. Sidechain for extra effect. Hours of fun.

Got a 3 hour train journey tomorrow, usually take the OP1 / iPad but thinking of leaving both at home and taking the Circuit only.
you might say it's... circuit bent.
Fun! How do the batteries hold up? So far I've only been using it tethered.
I think it's rated for about 5 hours on batteries.
I use a USB battery pack which seems to power it for ages. Train leaves in 19 mins, Circuit packed and ready to go.
Loopersonic is turning out to be the best way to record the circuit on the iPad for me. I am actually preferring it to any of the PC options I have tried including Ableton, reaper and samplitude. The way it auto-queues the next track and is so quick to navigate, it is just ideal for a quick raw recording pass.
I thought it couldn't be powered from USB? If it can that's neat, because I have a couple of very juicy USB battery packs.
That's not too bad I guess.
It can't be powered from USB FWIW.
I use a USB cable that powers it via the power adaptor, the volca one from myvolts but without an adaptor jack that came with it . Will post a link later.
Voodoo!

And that works? It's 9V, but the Circuit is marked as requiring 12V. It works at the lower voltage?
I've watched the video. My eyes say yes.
Okay, I'm ordering one. :-)
EDIT: Ordered, though it says it'll take about 10 days to reach me.
Tonight's Circuit experience was 15 minutes making a nice ambient 4/8 bar backing track with nice laid back reverby drums and extensively automated (smooth & locked) swirly pad chord progression with fortifying blips. Then 3 hours just jamming real-time over the top with the other synth part. Didn't record any of it. I was having too much fun. It's bed-time again though. Bah!
I'm finding myself very impressed with just how fluid the workflow is.
You guys need to post some videos for us to watch, or soundcloud recordings
looks cool but i would be concerned with issues creeping in over time. But then i know nothing about electronics.
My knowledge in this area is limited (and about 30 years out of date) but if the adapter is giving enough voltage to drive the Circuit, it's probably not going to have any issues.
@AudioGus Same here but the maker says it "should be ok" and are sending me a gadget to check the current to confirm:
"About using the adaptor with the Novation Circuit: I just looked at the user manual for the Novation Circuit and it states it needs 12V 1.5A.
The spec of the USB cable is 9V 0.7A, so it might be worth checking with Novation the actual current draw of the Circuit.
I'm not too worried about the voltage, 9V versus 12V, that should be OK, but if you use too little current you could damage the Circuit over time."
Voila....
