I have opened a thread in the Market Place containing a reply
Hopefully whatever it is includes a function for backing up sessions. I've only had my Circuit a short time and just have one blank session left. On the other hand, I suppose this means it's true that it encourages productivity.
There is an online session backup tool.

Cool, thanks for the link. Any way to do it without Facebook?
Nope. If you're averse to FB just set up an account with the minimum amount of info.
FWIW you only need the web service to make the backup, once you have your backup you can download it and sent it as sysex to the Circuit offline whenever you like.
I have only used the site to restore but what app would be good for sending sysex dumps to the circuit?
I'm on OS X, so I use Sysex Librarian. You have to configure it to reduce inter message delays or it takes forever to transfer but it works fine.
Waiting for the announcement before I list mine on eBay too, hope it's something good!
It is. Yes I know more, no I'm not under NDA. I'm still keeping quiet out of respect for Novation though, it sucks when stuff gets leaked before you want it to. People will be happy though, definitely something that's been asked for a lot.
Well that narrows my list of guesses down to about 2 things. :-)
I was only teasing, no offence intended
None taken
Mmmm- not some radical new patches or gate control then..... surely not a sampling option..... I doubt it.
Is there also something- even little that isn't asked for a lot..... like at Chrismas......
I reckon we'll get 2 more MIDI only tracks (using sidechain pads). Maybe alternative drum pcms? New downloadable synth patch packs? Given the hardware(ui and cpu) limitations I am not sure there is too much they can give us.
Patch packs! Patch packs! Patch packs!........ all together now.......
The hardest thing when designing products, is knowing what they are capable of doing, but having to sometimes release the features in stages to make sure the feature is implemented properly.
Circuit, has one thing, built-in right from the start, that we think you'll really like from tomorrow. We're certainly quite excited about it.
How intriguing! I've looked everywhere and can't find a screen so can rule that out.
When tomorrow? Shall I plan on taking a sickie? Haha
I'd like to see that too, if there's an easy way to combine sounds from different packs.
Audio through USB would be fantastic...
Meh, not for me in my hardware only world. Unless it worked with iOS.
I'm hoping it's change of drum patch per step and/or proper session backup/restore to computer/ipad
Yah that is what i am saying. One cable right into the ipad. Midi and audio. BOOM. No more lugging my Duo Capture and a birds nest of cables onto the train.
The excitement is almost too much. Have been disappointed with having to wait for a new OP1 update, don't let me down Novation!
I'm tellin you it's...
a quarter to eleven at night here in the UK.............. don't forget to hang up your stocking!
! seriously? This hits in an hour?
Apparently not, maybe 9am, maybe 1pm, who knows.....
How do people do the parameter lock thing, do you just hold the step you want to adjust and twiddle the knobs? Does this work for drums?
Also +1 for packs and an editor to load individual patches
It works just like that, but the sequencer needs to be off.
