It works just like that, but the sequencer needs to be off.

Aha thanks  I literally haven't used my circuit since it came back from novation repair. it's in its box under my bed, I need to actually sit down with it methinks.

Given the hardware(ui and cpu) limitations I am not sure there is too much they can give us.

The hardest thing when designing products, is knowing what they are capable of doing, but having to sometimes release the features in stages to make sure the feature is implemented properly.

Circuit, has one thing, built-in right from the start, that we think you'll really like from tomorrow. We're certainly quite excited about it.

When are you making your announcement, checking back every 5 minutes is getting distracting, I'm supposed to be working....

  • @Launchpadforios

Good luck with the announcement today. I'm excited and I don't even own a Circuit LOL

Me too but i'm about to buy a groovebox very soon and although i'm lurking for a MC 505...i have an eye on Curcuit as well

505's are nice man. Dusty 80's sound. Just make sure the display is ok. You can get replacements now though. And check the faders, I used fader lube on mine and it fixed a stuck fader.

Exited for what this update is, I love the circuit. If we had another synth track I would be in heaven.....

  • I would prefer the MC--307. Same sound engine, but an better/easier sequencer workflow.

  • I have had a RM1X and an Electribe (albeit the new E2 model). Both had their strengths but the wrong weaknesses and were sold without regrets. Always been tempted by getting a Roland groovebox but the problem is that they are so darned bulky!

The 307 looks butt ugly though  i love the layout of the 505....its bulky?Hell YES.It's a breeze these days with all the micro machine interfaces arround

    sorry for OT

Lucky you for having the room, I have been forced to work out of cupboards thanks to my kids and their ever expanding collection of nerf guns and the like. I have heard great things about the 307.

well,my girlfriend is not aware of my wish about the 505.Not sure if she would like the size. Most probably not

  • Apparently it's 4pm for the announcement folks (UK time). Might as well start doing some work.

  • Still time to get to the shops beforehand. Shame I haven't got £250 in my pocket :'(

I know, I've seen it, but unfortunately no :( I've made myself a promise that this weekend I will get an electronic cigarette, give up smoking, save what I don't spend on cigs (£15 a week) and buy a Circuit. The Mrs will probably have different ideas on what the money should go on though. I'll try and cross that bridge when i come to it LOL, I say try, cause I'll probably lose :D

Sample Import! But you need an Facebook or Google account to do this. WTF?

Okay, I'll say it. I'm disappointed. We already had the session backup & editor (albeit in beta) and the beta firmware. I have almost no interest in loading samples, and there doesn't seem to be anything else, unless there's other changes they're not listing yet.

    Where's the per-session backup & drum-patch-per-step features. That's what I wanted.

Circuit still rocks, and I love it, and always will, but I'm a bit underwhelmed with this.

or maybe is just the rain putting me in a funny mood

At first I agreed, but this is a way of getting longer pad sounds in there, so actually pretty excited. Think I was too hyped haha.

  • oh,find it very interesting. But where to load the samples then?Hope it's for the drum slots (i think so) and not replacing the synth.

i don't care if they want my mail though. And setting up a fake gmail account is a matter of minutes

Was just gonna say it means you put your own custom kits on, LOL.

Now I want one even more.

How long do you think you can get, the space is limited, I supposed you can resample down to extend the samples out. Hmmmm.

  • Of the drums that are there I only ever really use a handful of drum samples (I'm more a synth nerd) so actually being able to replace a lot with other textures that can be pitch / filter automated per pattern actually has me pretty excited. Pitch down a harmonically rich high pitched sound for a low drone that can play out over 8 bars, nice!

60 seconds. I assume that this is total for the new samples, I suspect the drum samples are in ROM.

  • WOW!! this is more than I thought we would get. Absolutely dope. Well don Novation, love it :dizzy:
