@crouchie yay another singer! You have a really nice voice dude.I really liked the track,great music,hooky melody,a bit long for me but I get that it's a remix.Very pro sounding mix.Cant wait to hear more!
@jocphone ,ooooh,I like that bass,very hypnotic,haha,please don't take this as an insult but to my immature ears it does sound like someone's farting as they're walking in places! (Grow up Leo for gods sake!) lots of things to keep the listener interested here mate.Im curious as to what's being said in morse code towards the end? Nice mix and an enjoyable listen.
@theconnactic hey man,welcome to da club! This sounded very poppy to me mate which I love,the guitar was cool! Lots of nice things going on,great beat although I felt it could have used a fill once in a while.As I listen a second time I'm thinking maybe the lead in the first min or so is a touch loud but the rest sits together nicely.Nice track!
Thank you very much for the feedback, @LostBoy85!
Thank you so very much, @rkmonkey!
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it - that's a funny story too!
It wasn't holding your interest but you listened to it three times?! LOL
That is kind of the point though, retelling the story for today.... What did it all mean?!
No insult LostBoy, you bring your own experience when you listen
Morse code is here http://morse-code.eu/m/eJxjZJSTY3D08VHwDFbw8Q9zBQAUZwMq
Thanks for the comments
Thanks rkmonkey
@Simon_Acetone
Wow, that's one hell of a catchy tune! The lead synth is great throughout. I'm singing the melody in my head as I type, and the songs over. lol...That's how you know you wrote a good one. Almost 7 minutes long, and it didn't seem too long at all. Not anywhere near the same style of music, but I feel like when I listen to Ride the lightning, or master of puppets, or and Justice for all, looooong songs....That are awesome the whole way through. Good stuff.
@JohnnyGoodyear - Black Dog's Love Song
Nice short song with that great voice. With lyrics that are great and hit at the right time.
@fRAS
Cool out there in space kinda song. I could see this being used as a score in a film about Space exploration or Deep sea diving. Just the feeling I get from it. It's peaceful and Calming too. Congrats on your daughter. As I have found, they tend to be a lot more delicate than their brothers.
@crouchie
The beat starts off, and it reminds me of the beat at the beginning of MJ's Beat it. Your voice fits the song well. And sounds great. Really starts to sound full and mesmerizing aroun4:30ish. I love the Bass synth sound in sync with the drums. Excellent song!
@Jocphone
Those are some great sounding synths. The one that comes in at around 2:11 seems a bit loud to me or maybe out of place. The craziness at 2:34 is chaotic and yet there is a distinct melody there too. That is a fantastic part in the song. The sound that quiets at 1:17, and then is picked up again, basically it is throughout most the song, I love it. Great song.
@theconnactic
Loved the guitar riff from the get go. When the electric lead comes in it sounds soo good. Just the right amount of funk, Jazzy, bluesy riffage going on in there. Reminds me of Santana, Not that I listened to them a lot. But it does. Maybe it's the guitar tone? The synth in there seems a bit loud at times taking away the awesomeness of the guitar's, especially in the last moments of the song. Great song, I enjoyed it a a lot.
Thanks High5, interesting breakdown. All the "synths" are little SunVox projects which I string together for the final song (see pic). That early middle section is one of the bits I would change if I did a retake, but I was happy with the song overall and was wary of spending any longer on it and watering it down too much.
Thank you so very much, @High5denied: you saying that my guitar tone reminds you of Santana's was a huge compliment. Thank you indeed!
@Jocphone
If there are two apps that I am afraid of, it's SunVox and IVCS3. More Kudo's to you for using SV. You've done great things with it.

Was busy past couple months and couldn't participate - but here's a Gadget track I started maybe 3-4 months ago. Could never find a decent 2nd half until I added the 303 line that slowly comes in at the breakdown. I'm pretty happy with the overall mix and arrangement - my favourite part is the acoustic guitar riff that comes in after the piano stabs.
@Halftone, the link appears to be broken...
Hmmmm I just clicked on it and it took me there ....
Now it worked for me too. Nice song, @Halftone! You are right: the acoustic guitar riff is really catchy and very good. Congrats!
Thanks ! I look forward to hearing and commenting on others soon.
Is a bobber. No doubt. Like it. Want to hear the 12 inch with some serious layered voices chanting/singing like happy hippies in the background, hand claps the whole thing (I'm thinking of the end of the long version of Bowie's 'In Memory of a Free Festival'-vibe). And maybe some Geoshred slathered in there also, but I fear I'm going to be saying that a lot for the next few weeks Could also imagine a funk brass section.
Seriously though this goes at a good rate. Has got a real groove to it. I normally lose a little interest without lyrics, but I was motoring along to this one. My favorite thing of yours I've heard.
Thanks for the compliments High5 but I do feel that the fear of SunVox is mostly imagined. Sit through some of Solar Lune's videos if you ever feel like finding out how simple it really is. I don't think SunVox is difficult it is just different.
Yeah, I always listen to stuff multiple times before commenting, and funnily enough if I'm not sure about a track I will listen to it more rather than less - it's not fair to be critical unless you really have given something a chance. I really liked your track last month, so maybe this one was just wasn't on my wavelength.
@Jocphone another interesting soundscape, with lots of different sounds, probably not quite as accessible as some of your other recent efforts, but the main problem is that having heard vocals in your entry from last month I now expect to hear them every month! For me the vocals instantly make the track more accessible and enjoyable because they lend a human dimension to the music, which otherwise sounds bit too abstract and intellectual.
@theconnactic the playing and the production where good (the playing is obviously very good), but for me what this track lacks is any sense of emotion and story, it sounds like a musician jamming, rather than a song that wants to take you on an emotional journey. A display of technical prowess yes, but it doesn't really make me feel anything.
@Halftone really loved everything about this one, a great very hooky bass line/main riff that propels the whole track along and which the other instruments dance around beautifully. Loved the choice of sounds, all the elements are extremely well crafted in terms of tone and music - every part feels like it really belongs. Most of all though it's a got a great groove and some great melodic tunes.
I haven't ruled a version with vocals out, and we are only half-way through the month. Not promising anything as I think it will entail a shed-load of extra work but, we'll see..
