i should have noted that i only have the iphone version of ielectribe. edited my previous posts just in case the ipad version hasn't been updated [no idea].
Kind of cool, not all that useful for apps running on the same device though, because there's no sort of transport control and so you still have to switch between apps and are out of luck if you want to stop two apps at the same time. I guess Audiobus can fill the role of transport.
Also, the timing only syncs the start time? Pressing stop in iElectribe stopped it immediately, mid pattern. Not a big deal, just seems like a timing mechanism would make more sense if it dealt with syncing at the end of a phrase too and not just the beginning.
I just realized I can still change the tempo on iElectribe for iPhone from the menu. But not being able to change the tempo with the jog wheel might still be considered a bug.
OMG!!!!!!

I see AB on the list, so I'm wondering what this means. How is AB implementing this and what does it do? Is AB going to be a conduit, or would that even be necessary?
really? Not in the german store yet...would love to give it a try with all three (gagdet, ielectribe, ipolysix) on one ipad, that could bring back some life to my Audiobus app again
unless cubasis or (better) Auria pro implement this...
So Gadget and iElectribe on the same ipad should work?
Yeah they work on the same iPad.
Hmmm. i have an Air1 on 8.4.1 and both apps just sit there spinning their wheels...
Press play on both apps after you enable Link on them.
Pretty cool, I had no problem syncing Gadget and iKaossilator on iPad to another iKaossilator on iPhone. Can seamlessly jump in or out of the jam. I wonder if WIST will be abandoned or updated in response to this. Im very thankful that Korg is embracing the superior product already.
Wist is going away - it's already been pulled from a few apps (Figure?)
I cant enable link...
Wow I had such a shitty day today and I was about to go to bed to sleep it off and saw all these apps have been updated on my iPad
I tested tria traq and ielectribe on my iPhone 6 with gadget on my iPad Air 2 with no issues at all. Came up with some awesome loops because I didn't have to think about any connections.
This is amazing
lol words can't even describe how smooth it is. I saw the promo videos and thought to myself..." It can't be that easy" but it really is
. The tempo changes were seamless as well
I'm can't wait until the other devs get on board.
Anyone know when Ableton link is done its beta? I. I might just download the beta tomorrow and test everything out with my iconnect and studiomux.
So I can get Gadget and Triq Traq linked (although Gadget says it isn't linked to anything... Weird). i can jam in triq traq for a while but when i hop to gadget the link is broken.
I have been running Patterning (beta) on three iPads for a couple weeks now and it is amazing. Add Gadget now and I feel like I'm flying. Wheeeee!
I don't have the iPad version. So I'm not sure why iElectribe is not working.
So i deleted and reinstalled Gadget, iElectribe and Triqtraq. rebooted twice. No combination of apps link for me.
Also curious as to how/why AB will incorporate Link... Maybe some kind of master sync ? I have no idea... @Sebastian ????
I suppose the only thing audiobus will do is enable link in the apps that support it automatically so the user don't have to do it, like background audio, don't think they will go for something like a master controller or something like that, maybe that's not even possible.
That's really odd. Do you have any other apps to test like SyncKontrol? That one should be free.
My App Store Update is getting busy downloading. Now iMPC is updated to link
Ahah! SyncKontrol links to Gadget. I got to the see the little countdown wipe in Gadget when I hit play and when I hop between the two apps they stay linked. I cannot link SyncKontrol to iElectribe or TriqTraq though.
iMPC Pro just updated with Link.
figure is wistful...
or, I should say, it was a couple updates ago. no telling what they do with each update since they don't tell you anything in the update notes.
seems impc pro sends midi out? playing with the pads, it triggers notes on gadget [when a gadget is active, with the little yellow light next to the icon, tap that and it turns on/off] and phone electribe as well. fak. seems a bit useless. cannot find a way to turn this off from impc pro. too tired and sleepy to check online.
so while it works, you might hear notes being triggered on gadget or electribe hear notes being triggered from impc pro. unless im just a dummy and im doing something stupid and the solution is right in front me. fak.
to sleep!
edit - tried phone electribe with impc pro and without link active, nothing is trigger from impc to electribe. but with link active, certain pads trigger stuff on electribe. weird shit.
and now to sleep. fo realz.
Try now with the latest Audiobus version...
When samplr and turnado get on board I'm updating my second air 2 to the latest and greatest.
I think start/stop for all apps wouldn't be out of place since Link doesn't seem to have it.
