Matt, with one play/pause icon. (Starting the loopers.)

Thanks. So you can't control (play/pause) each looper individually I guess?

Firo doesn't show up on the AB site as having RemoteTriggers or Link - yet...

  • Yes, basically. Astonishing that Firo can do that even without the sdk's. Remaining up to @adamkumpf ...

Load the app into audiobus and you notice it says Link is on but it did not work properly. I guess they had to pull that.

Even more strange cause iPolysix hasn't been updated since October

That's what I initially thought aswell then thought to myself. Ah well, maybe part of early beta.

October of 2014 to be exact.

I hope they update this app before New Years. I've been checking the App Store 20 times a day.

  • The most awesome sideeffect of this all is that with Audiobus master Start you can start other Apps that dont have link yet as well. Just match the BPM and your synced as well

Are we sure that Firo has Link?

I downloaded the latest update. Although AB start button starts Firo, it didn't conform to the tempo of my link apps, it started immediately, rather than at the start of the link bar, and it didn't say 'Link' when loaded into AB.

  • Ah ok @Matt_Fletcher_2000, would be nice if the dev would implement it then, although since it's gone free, he said it would only be maintenance updates. I like it as it is, for now. Have a good time, cheers...

Here's to hoping that audiobus gets midi learn for transport controls and sugar bytes and samplr get on the link wagon soon.

Mmm. I wonder if this works (need to try it). I found that the non-Link app wasn't synced because Audiobus started the non-link app immediately, whereas it waited until the start of the 'link keeping time' bar before starting the link apps.

I guess the very first time you hit the master start button in AB it might work.

Hmm, iPolysix has silently disappeared from the list of Link-supporting apps. Strange...

Damn. I've been checking every day in the App Store for an update before I buy it since I've been waiting for it and not sure if it'll run on iOS 9.

me too, ipolysix with link would be my biggest wish.

i just received the korg newsletter and they say ims-20, ipolysix & ids-10 will have link support in the future. from the newsletter - "Also the other KORG apps as iPolysix, iMS-20 and KORG iDS-10 are planned to be updated to correspond to Ableton Link." pretty neat :)

Somehwere along this yes, you need to fiddle a bit but decent enough to start some other playing apps I find.

Any work around to use link with cubasis or other ios daw's ? Can this be used like a replacement for the bugged midi clock sync ? Thanks.

    Edit:
Aaah found a nice free new app that can connect non ableton link apps with link enabled apps. Maybe this app can do the trick.

    https://itunes.apple.com/nl/app/midi-link-sync/id1071048493?mt=8

  • Its working. Just tested blocks wave and connected cubasis to the midi in (midi link sync) and the midi link sync out to blocks wave and running in sync with Cubasis. It dont lisen to start and stop, but running in sync within a few seconds. Looks very promising.
