Man I just cannot get Darwin to appear on my phone. I have my phone and iPad both updated to latest iOS, both devices with iCloud on, both devices on my wifi with Gadget activated at the same time. But Darwin just never appears in the Gadget choices on my phone no matter what I do. Even tried putting them both on wist. Argh. I have to give up for now.
Thanks busker!
For those having trouble with remote install- I got it working once I got onto my home network, (and made sure both devices were set on wifi rather than cellular)
Are recorded cc, still overmapped/priorised over the live cc changes? => result digital value changes= k.o. For Live Jams!
Cant try it yet....anyone?
Yes right, scenes. Click on the function button, then select the the time signature/loop count for any scene. You can change the name in there.
So will Darwin ever be offered to iPhone users by itself? You'd miss the full editing, but would gain another Gadget.
Anyone know how to get count in to work,I've set it to "on" in my general settings ,but can't seem to get it to work at all, am I missing something ? Cheers
Make sure the metronome is turned on (tap the tempo button to set it), click record, then play.
You can still rename tracks, but only to one of four preset names: Bass, Lead, Drum and Pad
Just tap and hold on the track name in sequencer mode
Has anyone found a way to change the metronome volume in Gadget 2.0? If not I guess it's time for another 'easy to fix' feature-request over at the Korg forums.
Don't know if it was a coincidence but I couldn't get them to show on my phone until I turned background audio on in both apps.
That's what it says on the download page but I think that's the size of the whole app. Anyway, I'd better disconnect from the screen and enjoy Lanzarote. iPad can be had back in the UK it suits the climate better.
For anyone wondering, 606MB on iPhone for Gadget + Bilbao + Abu Dhabi + Darwin.
Yes, I had to delete a whole mess of stuff to make room, but I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it.
Also Darwin seems to have come with all the extra cards I IAP'd, even though the documentation seemed to imply that wouldn't be the case.
Also here's a Gadget tip nobody seems to know (or perhaps they do?) if you select start and end bars along the top of the timeline with your two sausage fingers it insta-zooms to show that range. I mention it because I really don't like the new pinch to zoom, this way is better!
It certainly does !

Anyone know any way to get presets accross from my iPad installation to my iPhone?
Other than creating dozens of projects with dozens of gadgets using each preset and then iCloud sharing each project, I can't think of a way. (And that would take ages.)
I'm having a strange problem using BSP sequencer with Gadget.
What happens is that it won't stay on a scene, once I stop sequencer. It will go to FIRST scene...If there are more then one scene, it returns to 1st one. The lock doesn't help, it locks it in first scene...
Real PITA, because if you can't stay in the scene you're in...
Unless there is some way around?
Before this update, I could lock Gadget in any scene I wanted to.
They really need to make the keys bigger in full screen. This would make a HUGE difference to me as I don't want to always have to hook it up to a MIDI controller.
Head over to the Korg Forums and +1 the ideas that are there, with a few + it's more likely Korg will read them
Expect a sultry SOMTC postcard....(even if it's written back in the smoke and cold wet).
Top tip for those of us (me) who hadn't figured that out. Cheers.
Is Ableton Link turned on? If so turn it off.
This is going to make for a handy tip of the day for me ,thanks!
Got gadget, messed with it for a little bit. I like it. I wonder........... how I did not get it before?
I can't imagine anyone not liking it. not sure how you didn't have it before. at least you got it at 50% off now though. It is the best iOS music app that I have tried.
Sometimes I feel Gadget is a 'conspiracy' because it makes me more and more interested in getting the Electribe as a controller for Gadget
What seemed to make a difference with me was to update Gadget to the latest version on the ipad.
Have tried to get Darwin Remote Install to happen using all those additional suggestions (background audio on for both apps, making sure both were updated to latest versions of ios and gadget, and tried both my home wifi network and this morning the wifi network at my job. Darwin never appears in the phone menu.
I sort of feel like this is something with my icloud settings. Is it important whether icloud or icloud drive are on? I tried it both ways (plain icloud and icloud drive).
I dont know if this will help, but I deleted module on my iphone first. Tapped on buy where module gadget icon is. Tapped on remote install, and then tapped on connected. Had to do this a couple of times before it worked.
I succeded with iPad Air 2 on 8.4.1 and iPhone 6 on 9.2.1. Worked like a charm the first time.
