I know, but doing it that way you need to copy each bar, one at a time, and into the correct destination, so say you have an 8 bar pattern you want to repeat, you need to
First add 8 bars -> then copy:
Bar 1 - > Bar 9
Bar 2 - > Bar 10
Bar 3 - > Bar 11
Bar 4 - > Bar 12
Bar 5 - > Bar 13
Bar 6 - > Bar 14
Bar 7 - > Bar 15
Bar 8 - > Bar 16
With the new function you just click and hold til + button, then select all 8 bars and click copy.
That's a BIG usability improvement if you ask me
I'm not putting Gadget on my iPhone 5...
>
may i ask you why?
I have Gadget but not Module. i'm curious...is there a patch list somewhere for the Triton Module? Are they combos or general patches? Can't seem to find it online. I own a hardware Triton Le and want to see which sounds were used before I drop $$ just to have some Triton in Gadget. I think the Darwin, Kiev, and Marseille gadgets already cover a lot similar territory as the Triton.
I want to be able to duplicate blocks of scenes, 3 or 4 at a time.
Cool! NOW I can see why you say it is a big improvement!
I've only got a 16GB iPhone 5. Apart from casual noisemaking I use it as a Camera (Pictures&Video) and 'FieldRecorder'. I've just got a handful of music related apps on it. AudioBus Remote, Figure, iKaossilator, AudioShare, Twisted Wave and Fingerbeat. Now if 'Gadget' had a proper Sampler/Audio-Recorder/Editor built-in i would consider installing it and removing some of the other apps. (At one time the only music-app I had on my iPhone was BM2).
I've got absolutely nothing against Gadget, I just worry about my eyesight
I predict we will shortly see the first commercial album entirely created while sitting on the toliet.
Fame of thrones...
At least there is no need to splash out on a reverb
Anyone know if the IAPs are also on sale, or just Gadget itself?
Excuse the extreme n00bage: What is the purpose/function of flipping the Midi button on or off?
Glad someone else asked
That's just choosing which Gadget gets the midi input, or you can turn it off completely if none are lit up.
It s not a new function, it just tells you which track will listen to your midi keyboard or virtual midi app in the background
there was a yellow square on the top left of each track before that update
this is what used to be the little box on the top ...
and soon we'll be able to target more than one Gadget, that will open new possibilities ...
Bilbao is $6.99cad. That's half off I believe.
Ah-ha. OK. Amazing aint it. Little square OBVIOUSLY means 'this one's turned on' but give me a MIDI button lit up and I expect special extra thingies Thanks guys...
Anyone knows how big is this update? I'm on roaming and don't want to go through the roof with data. Cheers
It is almost 500mb
What are the IAP's? Synths, sounds, presets? Curious.
I have indeed had my eye on the sampling IAPs and that's one of them. Will check on the US end. Thanks!
I am finding some of the knobs a bit hard to use - I was using some of the controls on the Bilbao sampler and they were so touchy I assumed it was set to "rotary". Nope - it was on linear, they're just a bit tough to use. Much like with the keyboard, I assume a lot of this stuff is much better suited if you use CC mapping and automate it that way (with a mechanical knob). Maybe something they can tweak in future versions.
Still, it's amazing to have all these sounds available in my pocket at all times. Any halfway decent app can be a great "instrument" when used properly, but there's something particularly high quality about the Korg apps and a few other developers "out of the box".
Coincidentally, I bought a Volca Sample last night, but was so excited about the Gadget iPhone update that I started sampling one-shot sounds from Gadget for use in the Sample!
@StormJH1
Cool idea, Gadget makes some cool one shots. I probably use Gadget more as a sound source than anything.
Yes it's a shame they didn't include this.

Hi Gunars, Although we also wanted to support the multichannel midi support this time, we realized it takes time to develop to stabilize it...sorry about that. But, it will be supported in the next update along with our new MIDI controller shipment, so please stay tuned!
^^I see... I wonder if that's the same update to bring audio tracks ;-). Great update nevertheless! I guess module for iPhone needs to get updated for the module stuff to work in Gadget on the phone. Probably coming up soon.
Works already. Not the IAP stuff though.
What gadgets does the iPhone version of Gadget come with (without making any IAPs)? I haven't paid much attention to Gadget til now because most of my composing happens on my iphone 6+. I'm this close to buying it.

One feature found in most music apps that is missing in Gadget (as far as I know) is the ability to reset a parameter to default. This is usually accomplished by double-tapping the control, but I haven't figured out how to do this in Gadget yet. I especially miss this feature in Gadget because the controls aren't always very responsive compared to other music apps I've used. Nonetheless, I love Gadget and I'm very excited to have a dedicated EQ and compressor per channel!
Peace \/
