Would make a deadly duo :)

  • I wonder how long a sample (time wise) that you can drop into Blocs Wave? I have tended to keep mine down to about two minutes at the most- but I am starting to think that this is mainly due to force of habit after using relatively shortish samples in Audioshare (in order that I could see all the little beat lines). Anybody been dropping some whoppers in there?

I usually only work with 2 to 4 bars at most and then expand in Auria. While Blocs is great for trying out loops with each other, I've noticed a Hugh use in space recently and a lot more time spent deleting files. A regular scenario may be:

    Create loop in an app.
Send loop to Audioshare for trimming if needed.
Send loop to Sequential or Sector etc for mangling.
    Send loop back to Audioshare.
Import loop into Blocs to test with other loops.
Change loop to other key if needed.
Send loop to Audioshare if changed.
    Send loop to Auria Pro.
    Arrange loops in Auria pro.
Make loop blocks for triggering and send to Launchpad
    Drink Coffee :p

Too long a process. Would get lost in the logic. And who the hell is this Hugh fella?

Yep it needs some refinement and kicking Hugh out :p

Seems to be the price of iOS. Lots of ways to create, but takes lots of moving files around.

It's not as bad as it sounds. The coffee is nice :p

I really enjoy the mangling of the loops and then trying to find loops that spark together.

iOS does make moving files around to be a bit tedious though.

    Even more scary:

    @Nathan

Good call. Maybe they could do a swipe up starts that sample from beginning on the next beat and a swipe down does the continue we have now.

  • In addition being able to set amount of beats a wave comes in at just like Launchpad.

  • What's going on with the naming of my imported sample? I name it- but then it only appears in the box as a 'type'- like 'melodic' or whatever. How do I get the name I have given it to appear in the box?

  • What about FX somewhat like Launchpad.

  • I'm looking forward to a gang of fx too, and not the typical crush/distort/delay/reverb type either, but frequency shifters, off-setters, foldbackers, harmonics extractors, glitches, and side chain comp

  • We're thrilled to announce that we've added Link to Blocs Wave, released today. We've made a playful video celebrating the occasion.

  • super cool beans!

  • these guys mean business.

Blocs Wave just became my go to sampler, I'm using AUM as and instrument host, with Waves loaded and synced via Link to AUM and ModStep for sequencing AU/IAA's.

The most productive combination of apps for me that I have found so far.
Also working well syncing to Launchpad via MIDI Link Sync.

Thanks @Launchpadforios for your efforts !

  • Nice :) thanks for Link!

  • Works like a charm and now fits nicely into my workflow. Thx!

  • I love it !!!

I wish it had separate out, or at list some intern fx or filters...

  • I can't decide. Can someone help me figure out what I could do with this I can't do with samplr?
Not including any ready made loops or samples. Not interested in that.

  • Awesome, this app is only going to get better!!! Thanks!
