    The slide list on the left is hidden with Modstep ! You can reach the kits, but you can't see the names of them.

    Can you make the white list slide in? (Press the little name-widget that pops up when you tap a channel button). The list should then slide into view. But it's clear I need to fix this, because this same issue is also responsible for the erratic behavior of the list in AUM's floating windows.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for checking. I'm on it.

    I have no problems sliding the list in mod step (air1 / latest)

    quick tip for modstep, if you set your scale to f# pentatonic major, you'll have all 8 sounds next to each other in the piano roll (scroll down to c#2 which is the lowest note)

    Just having fun on Link to AUM and Modstep with 4 AU instances * 8 RUIS instruments with each (32 instrument with its own randomizer). My photo has only one midi channel by using one Mod Piano roll.

    You can have 8 individual Modstep midi sequencers controlling 8 individual AUM tracks, each can has 1 or up to 8 instruments for. Then I guess we can use Mididesinger Pro 2 or Just only Modstep to modulate/control everything.

    The great thing about AU extention apps is that the CPU consumption is not in linear doubling fashion if you add one more AU instance. So the photo show 32 instruments on 1 channel cost around 21% Air2 usage (excluding Modstep midi). That is super good sign on RUISmaker. So RUIS a highly workable environment for users.

    @brambos, thank you. <3

  • I agree the app is a lot of fun so far, and really lightweight, and the design nicely integrates with the hosts.

    @Kaikoo2
    You don't get any lag with midi ? Even if you switch from AUM to Modstep ? Not a single one ? (no glitch, just slow-down)
    Ipad pro 12' here latest OS.

    Also, here's the video for the preset problem I have into AUM and Modstep (but there's a workaround, but only if you use it as IAA...)

    Oh, I see from your video. That is a problem!

    No, not a single glitch and clipping sound found so far on Air2 iOS9.32.

    Ok so might be an Ipad Pro 12' (and 9.7' ?) issue related for preset list...
    But why the hell could I get lags an a faster device...
    @brambos @Kaikoo2

  • @crony do you have this problem also when using the plugin full screen? I can always slide in the instrument list except when the window is in certain smaller than default sizes

    Yes, same problem full screen. The bar starts to slide on the left, bigger height, but same width...
    If I reduce to much, I just don't see appearing anymore.

    Awesme, the only thing i noticed so far but iam not sure if its software specific, but the knobs are a bit "fast" i dont know might be my gat fingers. But maybe make them a little stickier ?

    That should be relatively simple to implement. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Totally agree with Hansson on this. Very hard to nudge the dials just a little. They often jump all over. Or don't move.

  • What is odd is that in AUM, you can make a kit and save it in user kits.
    In ModStep, you can't see the user kits, only factory.

    @brambos , I wish there was more of variety of kits and sounds....Do you know for example SeekBeats...?
    It misses tones, hits, glitches, bells,....please?

    They might be also bigger ? Like 30% more. (all of them, except pads.)

  • Is this a preset only thing, I don't see an awful lot of parameters in the screenshots (pitch/decay)?

  • edited June 2016

    By the way, about knobs moving too fast etc, every dev out there should just copy Korgs method of dealing with that. Every knob & slider, in every Korg app, have the same "short/quick-swipe" gesture implemented. It also solves the oh-so annoying issue with knobs moving a bit every time you let go of the screen.

  • Regarding the Ruismakers default 'note-mapping'(ie. back keys only) and ModSteps keyboard which for some strange reason is not 'scrollable'. The simplest way is to set the Ruismaker notes to use GM (In Settings->Ruismaker).

    After testing, I don't see any issue with an Ipad pro (maybe because they're bigger on that screen ?)
    The way it handle the know is clever, going up or down to increase / decrease, it's very accurate to me...

    Sorry, but where do you get settings in Ruismaker ? I can't find any.

    @Samu silly me...thanks :)

  • ... or temporarily collapse your keyboard to f# maj pentatonic

  • Love this. it's a great AU and one of the best looking ones so far :)

    Perhaps would be great to have option to randomise individual channels. More access to the underlying synth parameters would be cool but the randomise seems to randomise more than the on board controls, so there are a lot of different sounds available.

    nice work @brambos

  • So does anyone know...

    Tapping the name to change the pad instrument to say 'cowbell' or 'rim' - does that simply change the parameters on that pad or does it actually get in and change the core synth engine for that pad to something different?

    Im thinking it's the latter which is quite cool - but can anyone confirm? (I'm away from my iPad today).

    I'm thinking this might be a way to more deeply explore the outter edges of the more interesting sounds it can create?

  • DOH = Dog of House!

    Yep. I agree that it would be nice to expose a few more buttons to control the synth engines in the background and get more experimental sounds.

    Just to make it clear about the false bug I've found ...
    The sound going low into AUM while activating "Hig Quality / mesurement mode" is NOT a Ruismark issue at all.
    It happens on all synths...
    And I've seen this "issue" happening ONLY while the Ipad Pro is not connected to any soud card (so alone...)
    Sorry for the false alarm...

    Nevertheless I still have some slow-down issue while switching between apps sometimes...
    Ipad connected or not to a soundcard. They are very fast, but they're here. It's a kind of glitch but no numeric distorsion at all, it just feels like it slows down for some milliseconds...

    Hmmm...

    I don't have this problem on my iPad Pro 12.9" (or my iPad Air2)...
    I see the whole preset window sliding out...

    One day away from the iPad? What a horrible day ;-)

    So it would be related to my Ipad ?...Hmm...Tried uninstall/reinstall, same issue...I'll have this Ipad completely rebooted next month, I'll see if it still there...
