I probably won't be buying the "80's Electric Piano" IAP in Module, as I really have never liked that sound.
But, is it available within Gadget? If so, I might still weaken my resolve.
I don't have the 80's piano pack but the Melltron stuff shows up in Glasgow Gadget so I suspect the same applies to the 80's Piano pack...
It will most likely appear in Montreal Gadget
Thank you Korg .Still a bit Messy when downloading the IAP (it' s Frozen) but it' s good to know Korg doesn't give up his baby .We need a real sampler for vocals now .But Korg Will ever be in the game .I hope there Will be a summer ´sales for ielectribe and ims 20 , i need those gems too .
Hmm...
Wondering when the rest of the Gadgets get a 'vertical velocity' keyboard just like in the Madrid Gadget when pressing the 'Up' arrow??
Does.
how is it?
If and only if, especially Audiotracks
I have a major problem since updating - if I select a new gadget track, or even just change the sound on an existing track, there is no sound at all from that track. Other tracks continue to play as normal. This renders it pretty useless until this is fixed. I have reported it to Korg but if anyone has any bright ideas, I'd welcome them. I already tried closing down and reopening my iPad (which is the big iPad Pro by the way).
Only issue I've noticed so far is that when changing presets in Madrid there's quite of lot of 'crackling/distortion' happening. Is this 'by design' to simulate plugging in/out the cables??
I checked if this happens on my 12.9" Pro (the first 128 Gb Pro model, latest iOS), and it doesn't. I wonder if by any chance you might have a track soloed? I only ask because that's happened to me more than once — forgetting the solo on one of the tracks.
As you were, I had some Solo buttons on, sorry!
I'm embarrassingly getting the 80's keyboards. I'll never be able to officially use them...but they sound so good in private
I'm held back by the fact that it seems to be focused on Piano-Type sounds..
I would have no issues if it included other classic 80's synth sounds too.
(Still a big fan of 'Laserdance' / 'Italo Disco' & 'Space Synth', Ohh the 'Damage' from early Amiga Scene...).
Please merge threads , not bad reading logged in on the iPad but two threads this long are murder on the PC where I scroll endlessly to get to the last page
Anyone try using Gadget with NanoKey or NanoKontrol yet? I won't be able to for several hours. Just curious on the experience.
Hey Russ, im using both. Works flawlessly, other than missing 2 pads on new drums. Thats because nanokey only has 8 pads, and drums have 10. Its ok though because you can switch sounds on pads.
I've not had the opportunity to check out the NanoKey yet. How are the pads on it?
More close to iRig Pads or the Electribe 2 or even Akai LPD-8?
My controller combo for the moment is iRig Keys & Pads connected to a USB3 CCK with a small hub where I switch between iRig Mic HD and Behringer UCA-202 depending on what is needed for input.
Are the buttons/pads rubberised or hard plastic?
As the integration with Gadget is the main selling point it makes it very tempting for me.
(I've herd though that it needs a bit of juice when connected to the CCK meaning it needs an additional powered hub if the cable connection is used to preserve battery life).
Sorry for OT but at least it was a bit Gadget related
Oooo side chaining. Now I need to figure out what the hell it is, and does and how to use it!
I will need to check out these new gadgets and discern which ones I would like. Waiting for im1 to go on sale again.........
Pads are pl> @Samu said:
Pads are plastic, but feel good. Haven't tried USB connection yet because Bluetooth works so well.
Kamata chiptune gadget are not the chiptune sounds I've come to hate. Their actually pretty good. Jon on ipadmusian fb page did this demo.

I generally never say negative things or complain with an IAP offering like this.
However, I am less than enthused that every time I turn around I am shelling out $30-50 to Korg every couple of months it feels like.
I guess that my perspective is this. The people who would be interested and the key buyers of the new IAP would be obviously people who already have Gadget and are existing customers. I would like to see a little loyalty in a true promo like all 3 IAPS for $_______ price. Let alone the IAP's then for Module.
At least give a package offer for Module and Gadget treating your existing and willing buyers a real discount
I'm known to be a stingy b*tch... But I cannot follow you on this... With the quality of the apps and iaps released by Korg for the price they ask (+ they always have 50% off for ealybirds), I feel like it is always a real bargain.
Check the prices of music hardware, of music software on PC and the quality of (most of) the other music apps on iPad and you'll see that Korg Gadget offerings are really good.
Did the update, will probably pickup new gadgets too. Still no Master Tuning in Gadget though?
I'm pretty happy with the 'free' Mellotron pack for Module/Gadget. Saved me a few bucks in the long run and well worth the wait too
The new Drum & Bass Gadgets are a welcome addition and steer Gadget away from the 'only for EDM junkies' direction. I can already see a few updates coming (considering features implemented in Madrid) and the fact that 'freeze' already creates audio-files (ie. internal re-sampling) that would be a no-brainer to toss into Abu Dhabi or Bilbao or better yet a yet un-realesed Sampler Gadget. A Time-Line with AudioTracks should not be too hard to add (The 'frozen' tracks are essentially audio-tracks already). I also wish Korg would 'cut the cord' with AudioCopy and add a built-in sampler/recorder/editor together with a 'Korg Global Audio-Pool' for storing and sharing samples within and between Gadgets and top it off with an import/export feature using iCloud Drive.
Gadget keeps on growing and I like it a lot! And I have to su big kudos for the Kanata Gadget
You're right Samu... I have to admit that Audioshare support would be very welcomed in Korg Gadget (if implement as good as in blocs wave especially).
I can't compare them to anything else @Samu, as this is the first pad controller I've ever owned.
Thanks Morris! Looking forward to giving it a run.
Is there a way to name scenes yet in Gadget?...I was never able to find this
Kamata chiptune gadget are not the chiptune sounds I've come to ha
