This thing is seriously good and works brilliantly even on an iphone SE screen. So many good new synths this year. Moog 15, Odyssei, iWavstation, Addictive pro. I only wish that Korg and Moog joined the AU party.
I've managed to make iWavestation 'crash' a few times when adjusting the lengths of the wave-sequence-steps. Analytics are enabled so Korg should get info when their apps crash...
Am I Misunderstanding?...I have No Reply At All, so I'm going to Turn it on Again........That's All
But did you sing that Andy? And do you look like any member of Genesis?
Listen Propaganda's album "A secret Wish", I think it is really closed to wavestation sounds
Yes, like phil collins....as he looks now![:D :D](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Well when I'm sorted later this next year, I will to a visit up and see lol
Yeah I recall a korg promo from 1990 where Phil and Tony each scored a wavestation on the same day...they both used them for years. Tony Banks played his as a controller on the 2007 tour.
It's just got 'that' sound - maybe they created it another way on earlier albums and then the Wavestation ran with it later.
Not knocking it at all, I think the sequence rhythm stuff is a wonderful thing, but until I see and hear more of how it can be modified it's not clicking any Monzo instabuy buttons. Though it may end up on my xmas list.
I prefer my Genesis with greatcoats, wizards and beards. Their old gear used to be stored at my mates house, and we'd have hours of fun mucking about on Banksies old Hammond and Mellotron when we got back from the pub. Chopsticks played using the strings presets was a wonderful thing to hear.
And Peter Gabriel...
The worst thing about the iWavestation is the patch saving and user card fiasco. You should get infinite user cards. trying to make this like the original is not helpful.
Propaganda used a PPG Wave on A Secret Wish. The Wavestation was released 5 years after the album.
Sounds like Punky Brewster jamming with Alf.
I wonder what the marketing logic/strategy of using demo music that sounds so dated is? Is it to trigger those who pine for the original nostalgic sound they're familiar with? ie. this new app sounds just like the famous hardware?
Seems like they'd show off how it sounds the way it was originally used, AND show off how it can also go into new territory. The official demo doesn't make me want this app as much, but @Matt_Fletcher_2000 did. Same with the ARP Odyssei app. I saw some synth blog demos that sounded very cool and made me want that app too, but then I listened to Korg's demo and decided to sit it out.
LOL, those demos are so cheeeeeesy I almost want to refund the app
Yah must be nostalgia. It is a safe bet. 'Member the Wavestation? I 'member, you 'member? Yah, 'member white sneakers with no socks? Yah, I 'member. 'Member jheri curls? 'Member peruvian marching powder and bad decisions?
Some more random sounds

The wave sequencer is great to play with. It seems a shame that they develop this engine and not allow to use your own samples. I can understand the decision, to keep it with the Wavestation "sound" but maybe they'll add an iap one day...
I hope Korg catches all the crash-reports generated by the app![:( :(](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
I've had quite a few 'bail outs' when editing wave-sequences (Mainly when adjusting time and fades of the 'slices').
And the Joystick's Y-Axis when using Gadget/Militipas with Korg nanoKey Studio is 'reversed' (up is down and down is up).
Maybe Korg is working on a proper sampler-app for iOS based on the HD-1 engine from Kronos...
My only real issue is when you select the waves by dragging the coloured bar up/down it is almost impossible to keep what was selected - it jumps to a different value when you release your finger. In the standalone you can select them from a list but this is not available in the Gadget version.
You can tap the 'tab' far right to toggle the colour. Then you can tap on the upper half to + and lower half to - the wave-number to avoid a total mess. But yes, a 'wave list' would be nice to have.
Yeah Korg Gadget is really a wonderful app and this year was particularly great in terms of updates... I fully Agree.
Stop Samu... It's like every time you post a comment I'm getting more in love with you lol
Made me laugh and cry with nostolgia at the same time man, thx :-)
does anyone know what the difference is between the random functions "full" vs "wave seq"? I seem to get similar results with both
"Tab far right" This is Milpitas in Gadget we're talking about? I can't find what you mean.
It looks like iWavestation will only load up sysex files. I tried loading wsram files but it doesn't work.![:( :(](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
It works in Militipas too...

(See the picture, make the wave 'green').
Aha, far left
Excellent! Thanks
My bad, sorry![:D :D](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Got it! Thanks for the help.
HUGE thanks for the video/variety... hmmmm... I love the idea of this engine so much but do i want to spend over 30$ cad for those sounds...? maybe with effects and pumped into Blocs, but I just don't see it... such a shame no sample import.
