Anyone found the manual yet? The link still gives me a 404:

    https://www.korguser.net/iwavestation/manual/KORG_iWAVESTATION_OM_E.pdf

  • This is much deeper than iM1 for sound design I think. But can you use your own samples? Not knowing anything much about the original hardware etc

  • Dammit. Bought. my poor wallet T_T

  • Yeah, I could definitely use that manual Korg! This one is odd.

Also, little tidbit: Gadget went from 2.6 on Oct. 31 all the way to 2.9 today.

  • Well KLC is nearly ported, MonoPoly next?

  • The sequenced stuff sounds great in that vid, lashing's of Dairlylea on a lot of the presets though.

  • Awesome :) Insta-buy from Korg for me, even at "premium" iOS prices.

Korg had themselves a heck of a year. Here's an abbreviated list of things that happened just to Gadget in calendar year 2016:

    • Got universal support for iPhone and iPad Pro (February)
    • Enhancements to sequencer including one finger scroll and zooming (February)
    • Updates for nanoKey Studio and enhanced MIDI functionality (March)
    • Added Kamata, Gladstone, and Madrid Gadgets (some of my favorite in all of Gadget) (July)
    • Added Lexington gadget (Arp Odyssey) (October)
    • Added Milpitas iWAVESTATION Gadget (November)

Awesome. And this doesn't even address the announcement and release of the Minilogue and Monologue, plus Volca FM and Kick, plus probably a ton of other stuff.

  • So many classic sounds in this one :)

I was always a bit envious of those who had a Wavestation to sample sounds from when making Mods on the Amiga and later using other trackers. Now I have my own 'Wavestation' :D
(With a Lightning Cable I can do perfect samples for use with Renoise & SunVox).

  • There does not seem to be a way to save sounds in Gadets, even though you can edit quite A bit and there's even a RANDOMIZE button to create new sounds - seems strange that you can't save them then.

  • The interface looks way more usuable that the vst. Maybe I could create patches on it and port them to the desktop for later use...

  • Can anyone confirm if the on screen joystick can be controlled via MIDI (for control from a touchpad), the one in iProphet isn't..

  • Unfortunately this seems to break the Gadget tradition of making everything available for automation. Unlike the Lexington where you can automate almost all parameters, this only allows you to automate the joystick and some basic controllers:

Absolutely fantastic! :) What a brilliant surprise that was seeing Korg update Gadget with the iWavestation gadget considering the Korg guy on the podcast said it would be just a standalone app. Great stuff! Korg have certainly spoilt us iOS musicians this year. Come on Roland it's time to release Roland D-50 on iOS and compete with Korg.

  • And as for Yamaha…

  • edited November 2016

To be fair Yamaha have released a free 4 operator DX synth and free AN1x synth on iOS even though FM Essentials is crippled unless hardware is used. Roland have only released Soundcanvas.

  • Very happy, this is everything I'd hoped it would be, I'm imagining using it as a sound librarian and editor, never got on editing with the hardware and software.

dreaming of renoise on iOS daily

  • No official vids, nothing on the Korg website, nothing on Soundcloud, missing details on the sales page....do they want to keep this app a secret?

It's certainly not the kind of slick release from Korg that we have become used to....(by that i mean the way it has been released, I am not referring to the app itself)

  • Maybe they're not done releasing dope shit this month

  • Is it ipad4 compatible?

    think so

  • I think Korg needs to make it so if you own wave station and ikaossilator you get the individual waves as sounds in ikaossilator. A sales boost for 3 apps!

    yes

  • when are they going to update ikaossilator?
