It's strange how info about WS got out, usually Korg just drop apps out of nowhere, stand back and observe the baud rate exponentially bloom.
Definitely be getting this at launch.
@samu can you use the desktop legacy edition as a remote programmer for a hardware wavestation?
Don't know but the patch/bank format should be 'compatible' from what I can read in the manual.
I do not have a real Wavestation to test with...
No you can't.
You can only import sysex from the hardware onto the computer and then load into Legacy. There isn't any sysex export from Legacy.
Thanks @samu. We shall see soon enough.
Damn. Posted at the same time as you, @jes. That's too bad. Doubt they'd add that to the ipad app. I have an Wavestation SR that I'm pretty much over programming via the tiny screen!
Yes it's pretty tedious...my screen on my WS1 has no backlight so it's even worse..
There are a heap of great patches available online and there is a Windows editor from memory

Interesting. I do have an old Windows 95 box collecting dust... Thanks for the link.
@syrupcore
No worries
This version may run on 32 bit XP and Windows 7 in compatibility mode..it's shareware but I guess you can download and check it out.

Thanks again, Jes. I'm all OS X other than the DOS/Windows 95 box so the older version is actually the more appealing one!
So... this basically didn't happen? (iwavestation)
or is it still on its way?
It will come sooner or later, no doubts about that.
I got it recently on the desktop ...
Question: how do you save your own patches? I looked at the manual and it seems you have to overwrite a preexisting patch to save your own.
I reckon iWavestation won't be released until 2017 as I have a feeling Korg won't release any new stuff until the their 50% holiday sale is over on 5 January. So some time after 5 January could be when it's released.
Their chap on the podcast did say it would be "later this year". Though that was before Odyssei was released, so maybe he was confusing the release dates. Either way, whenever the release date is, it isn't soon enough!
I originally predicted a December release when I heard the Korg guy say "later in the year" but since the holiday sale and no new releases I'm predicting after the new year when the 50% holiday sale is over.
They just can release it with any pricetag they want because it's a new product. But Korg does always have an introduction price, most of the cases 33% reduction.
They might be saving Wavestation iOS for the NAMM show which is in January.
Yep overwrite, you can always save and reimport banks in the Legacy format as well as import sysex.
Lots of info and banks of sounds here...

That would be a very good possibility.
Or we'll get iWavestation as a Christmas present and Gadget with iWavestation Gadget, AudioTracks and a 'Sampler' at NAMM![:D :D](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
JANUARY IS FAR AWAY ANOTHER PLANET ANOTHER WORLD WHERE MEN DO NOT EVEN LIVE AT ALL.
What the hell am I going to do for the Christmas List?
Hardware? Santa is bringing an Oxygen 49 to replace the Samson Carbon that went kaput at the Tritonman residence.
I hope it has a sequencer of some sort
Yeah ! And the unlock function inside cubasis for Yamaha FM app, right ?
Thanks!
An update via the latest Korg microKast podcast.
...so could well be this week then!
